Could someone please explain range cut to me?? I’ve never really even cared about it, is it any relevant?? Also for some reason I remember some ep6 bosses ignoring rate cut, do a lot of them have this debuff?? I also feel like ep6 bosses use aoe effects more than other episodes, so does having range cut help in even with a range cut debuff active?? Looking for all information, so anything helps!  |

Afaik, range cut reduces aoe damage if you're not the main target. A total of 100% range cut = 100% aoe damage reduction. A range cut debuff would mean less damage reduction. I don't think it takes away all your range cut. |

Rate Cut means how much damage it will add or cut to attacks based on a fixed % of your max HP.
If you have 10k HP and X enemy has an special attack that cuts 50% of your HP, you'll end having 5k.
Rate Cut+% will lower that %.
Range Cut lowers or increases the damage you take as secondary damage effect of an Ranged AoE from an enemy, when you are not the main target of it.

Like us, Necromancers.
We have an Skill named Cemetery; it adds +100% Range Cut.
When we are not the main target, we take 0 damage from ranged attacks, but it becomes useless when the enemy attack us directly.

So is there is no effect if you are targeted right?? Also if rate cut can take the place of it, is there any reason to use range cut in your equip?? Can rate cut actually be used to reduce area effects or are you always vulnerable if the one targeted?? Like us, Necromancers. We have an Skill named Cemetery; it adds +100% Range Cut. 100% range cut while always in a pt seems like an amazing combo!! Do you notice these debuffs at all with such high resistance?? |

I'd say Range cut is useful when you are a Support/DPS class, you are in PT and have a nice tank. Bishop's Sanctuary adds Range Cut to PT, I do not know how much actually. About Cemetery, I forgot to mention that it lasts 1 minute at Slv2, and works as a small field that wile you are inside it, it adds +100% Range Cut. It combined with Bone Knight (Summoned) has saved me a lot of times, when an enemy is just too strong and has Ranged Attacks, I use Cemetery, then Bone Knight and use Deeper Dark until it dies. Slow, but pretty safe. |

Still, I think Resist+% would works way much better in terms of survival.
But, when I'm in a Pt as a Necromancer, I can do a full DPS while I take 0 damage using Cemetery when I have a nice Tank, as long I'm not the main target.
But when it happens, I summon Bone Knight, it draws all the hate toward him, then I kill it, and the mob starts attacking the next person with the highest hate.

Can u tell exactly which boss do range cut? If I'm not wrong, Botanutte. Even with Cemetery I still take some damage. And some other in Ep.6, but I do not remember which else. |

It's like Yarde's aoe and 3i's Shell Break attacks. Not all special attacks are necessarily aoe, so you still need rate cut if you want to prioritize surviving. Makes me wonder, if the conditions of not being targeted is met, would an attack like yarde’s (special attack and aoe) be reduced twice, once by rate and once by range cut |

But rate cut works in a similar way as melee and magic res does in reducing damage, so I imagine that it would work. |

Range cut don't work vs yarde nemesis.
Magic resistance works ( or melee resistance for 3i).
Their skills are special atk that hit each players on area individually, not counted as aoe.
I tested it with cemetary, bone knight, and i sit. When yarde do nemesis, i take all the dmg.
A lot of bosses use skills that hit all players on area and are not counted as aoe, plus the skills that are done by map and only ignore all defenses.
