I think a poison assassin isn't totally useless, it's for a niche market: tank assassin's. The Vit Int Agi kind, ultimate tankers with high evasion.
Though, these sort of assassin's lack natural hate rise to help out in a party.
The way I feel, these efforts by aso help to position sins to be more "independent" in soloing in ep6. It's not compulsory, but a path is open for them to go ahead and take it. Probably people like flarius or lala~ would welcome this well.
You need ridiculous survivability to last in ep6. But your dmg can't fall too behind either.
We all know that snipers are able to last well in ep6, (or even s450) due to excellent manoveuring via fairy wind and the occasional decoy. Perhaps aso also intend to nudge sin a little helping them out in soloing.
So it does help in some sort of a grey area - that is how I feel about the thief garb lu and for venom fist/shadow mist.
BS sins will need to wait for a impossible release of 360 skills to see them having any sort of improvements whatsoever.

alchemist is completely different, & uncapped. raising poison bomb skill level, INT, DEX, alchemy level & character level will increase the base poison damage of alchemist's poison skill; and then any poison+% will apply mulitplicatively to the base amount. the base amount of Sin's poison skill is capped at 100k, with poison+% applying multiplicatively to that. asobimo is trying to make Sin & Monk's poison better by giving them gear with ridiculous amounts of poison+%, but it's not that great tbh. my claw has 500% p dmg and it only does about 8k dmg per tick haha You use Parasite Thorn, right? Using it my Poison does 12k (IDK why, maybe is cause I use 3 Velenos or 320 ish Int), and I think that is much for a Monk XD

I think using normal claw is best for evasion. So u will need agi. Use dex for poison dmg. Its says poison dmg = int+dex. Monty beret seems nice on dex dependent cuz it adds 0.75 atk by each dex. I dont think u will need high CRT stat. U only need 95 c.rate for auto atking. 270 CRT= 90 C.rate + 5 base c.rate = 95 c.rate. Spending 270 CRT for c.rate kinda pointless better get tech abi. So those 270 stat point u can spend on dex/int/vit. So ur equip set after poison atk and venom fist should be alacran, .tgarb iniliba, monty raton/seele zauga and spec sbs of ur choice wether u wanna it be tanky or more into dps. The stat should be agi for base dmg of claw, dex and int for ur poison dmg, vit so u can be more tanky and str for more dps in auto atking. I think that build would be too complicated for me. As for evasion goes my equips and AL would pretty much make up for the evasion lost of not having agi. My al currently is using teo g (would change to valtia if I have cash), magonza r, ouvel g, adventurer r, and ganryu g. My equips rogue knife adds 10% magic eva, thief garb would add 12% magic eva and 20% eva when 4th up is released, and I'm considering druj plum as an option for add because of the 12% absolute evasion. All of my equips would probably use evasion abilities as well so equip and al wise alone I have potential to get 40% absolute evasion and 25% magic evasion. I may lack in atk from equips but by focusing my stats on int and dex I can take advantage of sin's throw mastery, have good skill delay, and have pretty good poison damage

I’ve been lurking on this thread but I wanted to throw my 2 cents in... I’m not an assassin expert, but it seems interesting. If VF works like almost every other ailment skill and ticks poison damage each time the skill is used, that would be the best possibility. If so poison damage becomes kind of like crit damage pre-rebalance. So like pre-rebalance you need to balance atk and poison for maximum effectiveness, however atk isn’t as crucial. 2 Seeles on 1s gears should be enough compared to the 150% poison (150% is 250k VF and 750k venom dance, add two seeles is 280k VF and 840k venom dance). That leaves you freedom for some other crystas. This is major because #1 it allows you to use really good crystas like Iniliba, #2 all the skills have a damage multiplicative value so you would be improving your damage overall (according to the sticky, VF does x3 auto attack damage and VD does x7.5. That would the above values 355k VF and over 1 million VD with 25k normal attack damage) and #3 you can retain some of the effectiveness of backstab a regular sin If you wanted to balance eva as well, I believe that’s possible as well. Evasion works best with low to medium investment into res as well (one shot is one shot whether you’ve dodged 40 hits or none). I’m not sure how much magic eva assassins still have but with rogue knife, thief garb and max green line boost with all green lines that’s 32% magic eva. Shelk would boost it to 37% which should be enough, if not leviam and cerbera would bring you to 47%. I’m not sure absolute evasion would be as useful because your base eva is majorly high from skills alone and you also have a minimum of 20% evasion boost. If I was looking to do this I’d probably do: Rogue knife seele Thief garb Iniliba Monty () Douin talisman or Base atk spec like RoR () I’d put one seele on either my add or spec, And either ideaus or nigdu on the other. Shelk Vatendeth Magonza () () Just a quick little set, I’m not sure how it’d do, just my two cents.

I did bought myself monty lu after some considerations since its atk increase is quite good with dex (though refining it is a b*tch since I wasted 100m on ori while still not reaching +9). And yeah iniliba would be good to have for more survivability, but considering I'm broke atm I probably can't test that (nor veleno). Its glad to hear that I won't need to heavily invest on evasion so I'll probably get more atk related stuff. Last I checked my venom atk poison damage with al, rogue knife, thief garb, trash add, and sbs (all with seele except add) at lvl 229 I can deal 10k per tick (I checked an older post about something similar and he deals around 8k per tick at lvl 261). Can't say for sure how I should balance my poison, atk, and survivability but for now I'll focus more on trying to achieve the most amount of atk from gears and improve upon there. One more question is max vit still not enough for survivability? I have the least experience with this stats since most of my chars I've owned never use more than 150 vit (would really like to avoid using iniliba if possible)

At iruna jp wiki its like thers 2 kind of poison dmg can be done by assassin
1st. Venom atk, chance to poisoning (from hunter class). It says (INT+DEX)*(Skill lv*2) for posion damage. Can be multiplied by venom fist further
2nd. Phantom step, chance to poisoning, can be used only in poisonous blade condition. And it says own lv*3+DEX*12 for poison damage. Maybe can be multiplied by venom fist further? And it also says if the target is already poisoned, thers a chance the duration will be extended.
U can find the detail in iruna jp wiki. For phantom step infos, search this word ダンス at their search box.

As far as vit... it’s kind of complicated haha. Honestly... I don’t know how much vit is necessary because I don’t have an assassin lol. The way I think of it is a max lvl character with max apos can max 2 stats and put 100 points into an Apostolia stat and have 600 stat points left. Translated to an assassin terms that’s: max int/crt and 100 gr. You want str to be as high as possible while maintaining some vit, so let’s assume 400 str and 200 vit. The fun part starts from there, do you NEED 200 vit?? The only way you can tell is from playing. With your gear can you solo the bosses you want to be able to solo with 175 vit?? What about 150?? If you’re grinding/farming and somehow you need to play the tank role, is 150 vit too low, and on the other hand do you play the tank role enough to warrant raising your vit?? I say plan to put at least 200 vit in your build by the end because 400 str is plenty for what you need str for (I think, I’m not an assassin expert, but 10 second stun is dope so if you need max str to get it, do that instead) but stop where you feel comfortable. With all the eva that might be at 200 vit or 75, you never know... if you’re asking about replacing vit for res, I’d say get as much res as you can so then you don’t have to use extra stats to make up for it but it’s not crucial to have.

also with ps unlocked ..u can deal decent dmg since it force backstab to double dmg pair that with poison and res and ull be able to farm bosses higher than ur lvl (albeit slower)
