The arguably easiest and beginner-friendly job for soloing is bishops, due to their high heals and self mp recovery that makes them entirely self sufficient.
That will probably be the most important factor for you since you're seeking self reliancy.
They also have a good aoe damaging skill, notwithstanding that one of the best spots to level up in-game (mg) is weak to light element either.
Their standard stat build is generally int dex vit - this distribution allows them to tank hits easily from monsters or bosses alike. Some other jobs lack mdef/def/vit, as an example...making them much more fragile.
The best thing about a bishop is that you have the choice to support parties at any time should you wish to, it's welcomed especially by paladin's.

Bishop~ If you haven't keep up with the most recent balance patch, Asobimo buff the nemesis so it deals full damage to boss/rare mobs. Huge maxHP and huge heals makes them hard to die. Only downside is even with the buff, killing boss is still pretty slow compared to other damage class. Dps: low, survivability: high
Monk~ Their damage got buffed since now CRT also increase ATK if using claw. Solo survivability is high. Rush monk damage is average to low. Geo monk damage is one of the best now. Dps: low to average(rush) very high(geo), survivability: high(rush), geo survivability depends on stat build, can be high.
Enchanter~ Also got buffed. Dajarte/dark ench has a huge dps so high that at some point, their single autoatk damage is similar to other class skill. Equipments heavily defines their dps/def. Tricky to play. Dps: very high(dark) survivability: average-low (dark)
Gladiator~ No experience on the class but some people claims they are the best on soloing things.
Beast knight~ Good at soloing after you get lv260 skill Alleviation. Most follow the sword build since alleviation gives 30% resistance with sword. Damage is average. Survivability is high. Unlike gladiator this class need huge ammount of MP pots. Dps: average, survivability: high
Alchemist~ Again, no experince on the class. Prod levels heavily influence their damage . Some people says even without prod the damage is decent. Though in my taste their dps is average to low. But survivability is high, since you can wear your best defensive equipment and doesn't affect much of your dmg. Need to buy catalyst to cast skills.
Summoner~ No experince. Most ppl use this class only to solo.
Necromancer~ No experience. The tankiest wizard class.
Samurai~ The class got nerfed because of Aso killing crt damage. The glass cannon build aka Str-Agi-Dex can solo but has a lot of restriction and hard to play. Highest damage among other sword class. The beefy build utilizing more vit has good survivability but need the right equipments to shine. Dps: mid-high Survivability: low
Sniper~ No experience. They can solo now. By using decoy, Ouvel and Gatekeeper will just do nothing while you barrage them to death. At another boss, you just have to run in circle and watch the mobs busy trying to chase you. You can even have 1 hp and 1 mp and still kicking ass (only work on certain situation). Tricky to play.
Ninja~ No experience.

Hi guys whats the best solo class for now?i just got back from the game its been 5yrs but i want to make a new char that can solo since idk much people to play with😁😄 Solo as in soloing MQ considering that you stated that you want to make a new character? Based on my own solo experience, I would say that the Knight class is an underrated solo class for levels 50-120. Then, you can switch to Beast Knight class at level 120+. Though, rip to both your mp and your spina from buying stacks of potions. Or you can change to a "special" class (minstrel, samurai, ninja, or alchemist) instead depending on how you distributed your stats and what level you are. If you meant "solo" as in leveling your way up from level 15 without MQ, I would recommend a class that uses AGI stat for those times when you feel lazy to spam skills. If spina is no issue and you have decent gears, almost any or all class can solo a lot of things depending on your stats along with what mobs and/or bosses you want to slay.

Enchanter survivalbility can be high or low depend on your equipment. Even so, their survival with most offensive gear set still above most dps based class such as assassin, samurai, magic ninja, & HW with mid tier survival set.
If you really want to solo, I reccomend Enchanter, Necromancer, Gladiator, Monk, or Beast Knight. Both has decent survival with medium to high dps.

Enchanter does the highest dps in game as of right now.. maybe geo monk close if not equal. But all that buffing before attacking for enchanter and freezing before using geo for monk is a lot of work for some people. Great classes if you like that play style.
If you’re lazy like me, use bishop. You can farm or lvl while watching your favorite show. Just make sure to use goddess bless every 5 or so minutes lol

As most people are saying, I gotta agree, Bishop is a really good solo class, just don't expect to have the highest dps ofc.
But a simple side note:
If you're a returning player then I bet that you should be having some Spina issues. Even with the cheapest "good" set for matk, my friend currently is making a bishop and did 60k at 200ish with about 400m worth of gear. You can easily 2shot jacbos (a used to, popular farming area for starter bishops near yarde).
I may be thinking to far ahead but let's say this, how will you make 400m? You can always do 100-140 raids in sofya. Since empty crystals are always a need you can sell the mats for empty or make it urself and sell.
One issue however with bishop. It's hard to solo mq before nemesis. You might have to get a matk counter by def, which you could probably find somewhere in the bishop section (you only need like 2 items anymore is kinda overkill imo for mq, it'll only cost you like 100m) There are also bosses that you might struggle with even then.
^^^ That being said, that's why many people choose Summoners to solo. They can solo mq from 100 to at or over 320 even as an appt summoner. The damage is decent enough to farm bosses thanks but also not thanks to a rebalance that happened like 2 or 3 years ago.
If you do party later on as a Summoner, you MIGHT get a pt with geobreaker monks.
If you do party later on as a Bishop, you have like a 80% of getting into any party.

I would say Monk! By being monk you can do pretty much everything. If you decided to go full solo at first like me, go AGI>CRT>INT=VIT. It has decent damage and EVA with some DEF/MDEF, you can re-mana and heal also with HP drain set you can gring like forever. No need to buy potion for normal situation unless you try a tough boss. You can also have a GEO set in case you wanna PT sometimes, CRT and INT benefits GEO a lot. Equipments and Xtal are not too rare, eq. is fairly common to buy. Grinding is easy too, with Rush Monk you can solo Yarde, Third Efe, Moss Golem all day, just use HP drain set.

My own opinion based on what Ive seen. Best dps Ench (can sometimes deal 1m+ per auto. Imagine they tank ep6 bosses with 2m dmg per shot... tank as in solo tank, not pt tank). Second would be monk. Personally, I found hybrid monk super interesting. Never played, just what I heard, but it seems super awesome, also regarded as the most expensive class. Personally, I like farming while watching movies, etc. I would make a monk as my main. If you want to be active all the time you might want an enchanter. You can also make a bishop. Easier to get him to 340 or cap, but lot worse for boss kills

If you ever choose a paladin holy mail and Knight of honor is your best bet. Gives high HP, Vit, magic and melee resistance with Dango and Onigiri for refuels. White popsicle gives +30% MP. Of course the academy event for a Knight of honor hasn't been available for a couple years and holy mail is really expensive or just hard to make.
