I use item delay on my summoning set. If you restore your mp quickly enough your summons won't vanish. But this only works if you don't get stunned at the same time.

You could use mp regen items.

From what I remember, Isurugi continually drains your mp and you can't do anything if you need mp to do dmg.
Just find someone who can 1 shot him for you.

Isurugis mp drain will disappear if you wait about 2-3 min without aggro, not very effective if you're farming but for mq, it'll work xD.
As for other bosses, Remagic/Consumables are your best friend.
