Update Differences and Test Results

Apologies in advance to sins of builds other than backstab. Although I use DB, Venom, and Autos, I am not built to max dmg output for those attack methods. Any and all tests done are solo, self buffs only, no consumables, no ignition.
In testing within the first hour of Balance Patch implementation, I have discovered a few things.
Here are the main consistencies:
- Old BS build with stats still stands.
- Previously used popular Armors and throws still are very good.
- Evasion is still good, magic eva nerf does not hinder the ability to destroy yardes.
Regarding the Rise in ATK:
- Atk stat has risen
- Backstab damage has increased
Additional Gear Info:
- If all are max upgrades and +9 with Raton, Monty >=< Barb > Dai > Force helm.
Keep in mind, Dai and F.helm still gave me 30k dmg over a no-dmg add (all +9 with raton)
With 6k atk and 365 crt stats, tested on yardes,
Force Helm: 630k
Daiginjo: 632k
Monty: 657k
- Using barb and monty at Ibrie, the numbers were very very similar. The range that they hit in were mostly overlapping. I have at least 200 dex, so Monty did a thousand or two more damage than Barb in average over time. For a low dex user, Barb > Monty. At high dex, Barb can still > Monty depending on the other gear, but difference is very little.
- Barb at low dex > Monty, tested by Le Cheese~ . Notices differences slight, diff < 10k between the two.
- Barb > Force Helm as well, stated by 4lb3rto5 .
UPDATE: Testing Fallen God's Helm vs Monty at Yardes (all +9 with raton):
The rest of my gear is kept the same.
Monty: average of 760k (sicarius)
FG Helm: average 812k (sicarius)
Conclusion: The Fallen God's helm >> Monty. The helm used to be irrelevant with bad crt damage, but with the ATK boost, it is now the best damage add gear. Since FG Chakram is superior to Prescience III, and the FG Armor is superior to Ultimi reup when equipped with the FG weapon, wearing the entire FG set gives you the best dark elemental and atk damage (according to this result at yardes, at least). As a warning for any other testers: the armor is very expensive, and the weapon/add are inferior without it.
Special Gear Info:
- Beelzenoid is useless.
With spec gear, SBS 2 mr.ori > DSS 1 mr.ori > using ganeis in spec > noid > everything else.
- Not saying that Crt is worthless, as the 22% crt from Daigi clearly outdamages F.helm. However, straight atk is the most effective. Testing on 3i and bosses will likely result in the same, as defense stops critical damage, therefore atk will always remain more effective now.
To compensate for this change in atk vs crt, I assume using this test that maxing atk over crt will be best.
Regarding elemental damage:
- Elemental melee is far superior to Crt%
- Elemental add xtals (thotras, nero, sakimori, etc) > Raton in additional gear damage, tested by Le Cheese~
Regarding the auto backstab:
- Works when stabbing from the front, teleports you directly to a distance behind the mob.
- When the monster is facing you, and its rear side is facing a wall and very close to it, you WILL front stab by trying to use Bs from the front. Even if mob has a bit of space between it an a barrier/wall, you will front stab.
- Seems to teleport you to maximum range. If the position you will teleport to cannot be occupied by you (ex. in a wall) then the teleport will not work.
- YOU CAN SIDE STAB AND FRONT STAB STILL! Auto BS does not compensate for bad aim!
Regarding the Venom Fist:
-As critical damage has been lowered, damage on venom fist has been lowered (it hits orange crits)
-Poison ticking damage has not changed
-Delay has decreased to that of Backstab's delay or less, can be spammed.
-Grants a 4 or 5 second buff known as venom blade. Full effects unknown. Currently being tested with sin friends, will update when more thorough knowledge is found.
- UNLIKE ASSAULT AND STUNS, Venom Blade is rebuffed every single time you use Venom Fist.
Testing (on nommars, using the wrong gears):
Using only VF: 77.5k average
Using venom attack to poison, then VF: 77.5k average VF, venom blade buff increases from 4 seconds to 5 seconds
Double bs (without sic): 304k
Single bs (without sic): 153k
Using venom attack to poison, then BS: 153k single, 304k double
Using VF to get the Venom blade effect, then BS: 153k single, 304k double.
- No evidence of venom blade effect giving BS or VF a decent chance to poison (killed 20+ nommars with the 5 second buff on). Have yet to find the important effects of this buff...
- Unsure if all these effects (lower VF delay, venom blade buff) are 340+, 320+, or available to all assassins. The ATK up and Teleporting BS are usable across all levels.
Currently Untested:
-Auto BS on Joshuca's second half, or anything else that always faces you, and other Auto BS quirks.
-Mr. Oritius's atk+15% vs. elemental melee weapon xtals (halios, sturm) that have melee +10%
-Mr. Oritius's atk+15% vs. ele additional xtals (nero, sakirmori) that have melee +15% on add
-The effects of melee pierce now that we have more atk?
Currently on Mobile and unable to post screen shots of testing. Will edit to include photo evidence and new tests as soon as I am able.
