Counter Assassin owo
Hiya o.o/ EwPeople here. Magic Ninja on break. Just visiting the land of fellow throw users XD.
So I became interested on assassins recently, but backstabbing looks hard, what with the positioning and all x.x. It kinda discouraged me from making one, that is, until skeewi mentioned about Echidna xtals in this thread: irunaonline.boards.net/thread/25346/help-nail-assassin-guide
Echidna - Counter on evasion +15%, Melee R -10%, +7% more for Assassin.
That counter on evasion is 'assumed' to work like Sukia and since sins are evasion monsters anyway, why not gulp a ton of this xtal? XD
So here's my idea for a Counter Assassin build:
Pros:
• Good for soloing
• Not MP intensive
• No need for -sd gears and stuff since you'll be auto-attacking
• Crystas are relatively cheap compared to other builds
Cons:
• Crappy DPS when mob/boss is not targeting you
• Crappy DPS if mob/boss has slow ASPD
• Might be hard to get a party
Stats:
156 AGI - INT > CRT > rest to STR > VIT (optional)
156 AGI at first to max ASPD with throws. INT for ATK with throws, MP pool, MDEF and for Illusion skill which raises magic evasion based on INT. CRT for Double Attack proc rate and critical damage/rate and STR just for the ATK. You can skip VIT if you want. It's just there so you can hope to survive an attack that goes through your evasion. VIT gives roughly 20 HP per point, and some DEF and MDEF.
Equipment:
- the focus of your equipment will be on absolute evasion with just a little magic evasion since you already have a ton of EVA. Also included are equipment with the same effect as Sukia and Autoskill "assuming" that it helps with Double Attack and the counters' proc rates. Note that some items/item upgrades below might not be released in the English version of Iruna yet.
Weapon
- you may use elemental/other throws for damage instead
• Diamante - Small Melee through up by INT, Skill delay -1 sec, Twice attack chance, Absolute & Magic evasion +15%
Notes: Melee pierce 15% of INT418
• Hard Baselard - ATK+9%, Absolute Evasion +14%, Critical Rate +30, Melee Pierce +14%, Darkness Tolerance +7%, ASPD+20%, When Attacking, Small MP Recovery
Armor
• Ultimi (Strengthened 2) - ATK +12% MATK +16% Critical up, Delay -1 sec, Accuracy +100, Absolute evasion +10%, Melee +600
• Yang Ninja Garb (Strengthened 2) - Critical damage +13% Melee R -5% AGI +20 Absolute evasion +9% Hate rise -20% Ailment R +10%
• Ira (Strengthened 2) - ATK +16% Magic evasion +10% Critical rate +25% Autoskill +10% Critical damage +7% Melee +1% Melee R -25% (hidden correction: MaxMP +?)
Additional Gear
• Doggy Ears (Strengthened 2) - Evasion +15%, MATK +6%, Autoskill +6%, Absolute evasion +10%, INT +5
• Eye Bandage (Strengthened 1) - CRT + 5 Critical damage + 14% Accuracy + 10% Counter on evasion +13%
• Daiginjo [Holiday] (Strengthened 1) - Accuracy -30%, Hate rise +30%, Critical rate -70%, Autoskill +12%, Critical damage +22%.
• Dojigiri - Critical Damage + 6%, Counter on evasion +8%
• Chase Cap (Strengthened 1) (AizenSou [Quitting] 's suggestion) - Melee +250 DEX +5 evasion during counterattack rate +10% Magic evasion +7%, Magic evasion +7% if AGI > 199
Special Equipment
• Coin of ANGA - Absolute evasion +7% Critical damage +5%
• New High-Speed Motor - Small absolute accuracy&evasion up by AGI. Counter on evasion +9%
Ability
• HP/Melee Defense/Magic Defense/Vitality - for survival purposes
• Evasion/Agility - if for some odd reason you still need evasion
• Attack/Critical/Strength/Intelligence - for damage
• Autoskill - "if" Autoskill helps trigger Double Attack and the counters on evasion, you can use this
• Wild Dance - for ASPD if you want to reduce the points you want to spend on AGI. Click the spoiler below to see ASPD calculation.
AL Crysta
• Shelk - AGI +5 Evasion +15% Absolute&Magic evasion +5% Counter on evasion +5%
• Cerbera - ASPD +10%, Absolute evasion +5% Magic evasion +5%
• Absolute Evasion I / II / III - Absolute evasion +1% / +2% / +3%
Apostolia Color Setup
• Full Green - choose this if you need more EVA, absolute and magic evasion
• 6 Yellow / 2 Green or 4 Yellow / 4 Green - choose this if you want to balance ATK and the three types of evasion
• 6 Purple / 2 Red - for Autoskill, ASPD (+30%) and critical rate.
How to Play:
Step 1: Buff up!
- Buff thyself young one so that you may become strong
Step 2: Use Backstab/Sicarius
- BS should still deal quite a bit of damage. You should use this at least at the start of the fight.
Step 3: Auto-Attack
- Auto-attack... Just... Auto-attack... Nothing much to do here LOL! If you decide to use Hard Baselard (or other MP recovery chance on attack [this is affected by autoskill%]), you can spam Deathblow and deal more damage along with a nice absolute and magic evasion boost owo.
