hi, just a suggestion but maybe you'll like to add/make a 1 mp cost set. i mix mine together with delay set for boss farms since some bosses debuff and deletes mp thus 1 tick of bless is enough to rebuff and revive the whole pt (❁´▽`❁)*✲ﾟ* here's my set: tellas/kagan qc1 tentacion/thrift3 mpc5 (rossam is better but i'm a cheapskate so..) spirit plume/thrift3 qc1 bud ring/thrift 3 ..this might be totally unnecessary but just a suggestion~ Any help is appreciated tyvm! Arch bish stills wins from tellas in terms of mpc and heal, tested two of em and arch uses less mp. Spirit plume is meh coz of resistance-%, thatll kill you in a farm but yea its good for mpc now. Hmm maybe it's because of your Lv? XD Plagueis showed his MP cost set and he says that Tellas Rod gives -15% at lvl 327 ( h ttps://youtu.be/wWWwgw0fU4k ). Well Archbishop Rod is ofc much better for low lvls since Tellas' MP cost is based on Lv. And tyty I'll add it! |

Itll have an up from prod 183 xD. not sure what you mean by archbishop using less mp because my set makes every skill 1 mp cost except for quick, unless you mean that archbishop uses less mp than tellas when casting quick. but i do agree that heals are definitely better with archbishop.. i'll probably get one later cause my heals are <10k with tellas ono thanks for reminding!! |

O forgot I have rossam in my arch bish when Ive tested and compare it with tellas ns.. I guess tellas win in mpc(Im 330ish).. My bad..

You have to understand that the mp cost reduction of Tellas is based on level. IIRC, Tellas gave me -15% at level 327. I believe my calculations were right as it was enogh to give me 1mp cost at said level. 15 Tellas 15 Kagan 40 2 Rossam 10 MPC 5 20 Spirit Plume As per Spirit Plume, it is negative melee resistance. That doesn't really matter when it comes to farming. You never get hit anyway. You get hit by room AOE's and that's it.I have farmed Sauro 350, Raton, Almas, Ouvel and others and I never die. Only time I die is if I steal hate which is really really rare if your party is decent or if I really mess up. Like failing to heal/revive party member and they end up dying and ofc boss is gonna have it's eyes on you. Hmm, I'm curious where you got Ring of Light's Light Magic damage bonus. I've been looking for more infor for a while but jp wiki is not giving me anything. I will try to compare though. And it's 150 chasing btw.  But saying it's on par with spec mezza is so vague. Which spec are you using? Dragonewt with Mezza? Or something worth comparing. |

Or something worth comparing. see my previous post, forgot I have rossam in arch bish.. but i rly still prefer arch as it has high heal.. resist% is like youre getting double dmg so cant risk it.. currently using montel colliet for ailment resist(dunno if it rly works lol).. im also hoarding clematis as itll have a -20%mpc in next upgrade.. Ive tested my med ring mezza with RoL.. but that was in the past when boss was only upto episode 3ish so that was over a year ago(?).. since u mentioned that, ima test it again(when dunk2 xtal is out, sold my tarna itiance xD).. maybe itll have more dmg now and its OP when up is out |

ricmoon, I didn't see the next post, my bad. Only time I had problem with Spirit Plume was when it just came out and back when Mercure was one of the popular add for bishop. I made the switch back then and I felt every hit megaroche throws my way. Other than that, it works for me. But hey if what you're using works for you, that's good. Personal preference! If you're talking about last year then you must have been talking about Glint Ring. That gives the same Light Magic Damage as Light Ring as per jp wiki which is 5%. And yes, I did the same test and it still holds true up to now. I recently made comparison between 3 special equipments with Mezzaluna: Orichal Bangle, Light Ring, Magical Ring and Magical seems to come up last nemesis-wise.

Yea, as long as an add has SD, any will do xD..
Pretty sure I was using Ring of Light and tested it with med ring mezza.. Maybe RoL ns can win now vs spec(without dmg/matk) mezza..

I plan on making a cheap but effective counter set (if it can be achieved lol) and was wondering if other people would be willing to helping me out a bit. Any advice given will be taken into consideration. Thank you. Also, please remember that I am not rich by any means... And that I will be trying to get Freesia Rod S + Snow Earmuff S at next Christmas event..
Right now I am rocking a damage set (Caterina + Struggler Up + Ecarlate + Spec.) and a -SD set (Esprimere III + Tentacion + Evil Dragon Wings + Spec.).. Currently, I have on hand: F. Book Vol 4, Coral Hairpin NS, Blue Epaulette, and a Sofys xtal...
Is there any sort of combination I could do to get a cheap but effective counter set.. What do I need to change and what is already good? Is there any other cheap things I need to get? I know Freesia and Snow Earmuffs are ideal but they're too expensive for poor little me atm... So yes, please refer to what I wrote in the first sentence if you're just going to suggest those two...

super n00b - Viola has decent counter.. and it's free. You can also get a Coral Hairpin it's rare from an easy mob. Counter works like Snow Earmuff. Holy light from Sofys isn't that bad either. I've seen it sell for 3 to 5m. For armor you can get a slotted Cleric Robe. That's cheap too.

If using sofys counters i highly recomend using lespolt rod for high hp mobs like mega... unless u have mp restore set for using spellboost.

Keep in mind you're bishop. That means you're always needed in pts. You can get something like a struggler I know you are looking for a cheap set but why buy if you can just pt with some friends/guildies/random people and farm or farm something that's worth a lot, sell it and buy what you need for your counter set since you got a good skill delay set.
For special equipment you can use a slotted spec ( I assume you still got one left through mq ) and either use sofys ( light element counter ) or anubites ( dark element counter ).
Later when you got much spina or Idk anyone that can help you complete your set I'd recommend you to get full water counter set cause water counter is stronger ( maybe the strongest magic counter ) than dark/light. Minela is a good xtal that's around 20m. I personally use 2 of them.
Btw if you got an equip with "magic counter chance by defense" use matk xtals since counter xtals consume autoskills which means they disable your autoskill on that equip.
