Well I also took a long hiatus from the mmorpg games I played, Iruna being the first. (Proud Gamer for 18 years and I always preferred console and handheld, pc games from ze famous companies. :3)
I started out around mid 2013 and crawled up to the top as a hunter with messed up stats to lvl 90ish. The implementation of special classes was due and because ninja just sounded awesome I decided to become one (I had no idea whatsoever about the class, just heard the name XD) After experimenting some more, messing up stats and buying steflys I finally acknowledged the capability of the class and since you can pretty much solo everything and it fits with my game play, I went for it and enjoyed.
I have tried out four other classes since well fellow ninjas may know how repetitive the class becomes and being a loner, things can get slightly boring. (just my imo, although I enjoy going solo.)
I've done the mq runs for my other four characters and as gm helped out guildies/strangers. This may sound obvious but the thrill and excitement with my main was never felt with the other classes during the run and experimenting, perhaps from the rushing and just wanting to be the full class asap or the feeling that the community is different and the hack issues.
I'm sharing a character with a good friend for production and I enjoy that but miss the action because the character is pure for production.
My break from Iruna did well since it consumes time, effort and determination so I could focus on other matters and now that I have some time to spare, I want to get back but as many members describe, you only log in for a short time and poof you go. XD
My own solution:
deleted other characters, start fresh and focus on one character, also trying out a new class which will fit my new game play. Meeting new players, No rushing, just taking my time and grinding, doing mq, no OP gears, play with the gears you get during your journey so that it is as challenging as the first time I played.
(Excuse me for the long text, hope it helps anyone to breathe new life into Iruna again. ouo/)

Hey guys. Eaysley here. I only one character, a L272 Gladiator. I can't remember the last time I played for more than 30 minutes because the game has become too boring for me. I've reached a point where I'm not 'winning' anymore. I feel like the game relies too much on luck to 'win'. By winning, I mean getting valuables and wealth. The RNG just sucks to me and I don't feel rewarded enough grinding a boss over and over for hours and most of the time getting nothing. I haven't uninstalled the app because I still do MQ and I'm pretty much still interested in the story. I sometimes login to help random folks do their MQ. It's just now I don't feel motivated enough to play the game. Especially, because hacks make the game really unbalanced. And everything seems to be extremely tedious. My friends are never on too and have probably already quit. Any of you have felt the same? What did you do to keep yourself playing? I feel like MQ is the only thing that hinders me from uninstalling the app. So far, I can finish them all easily with my character. INB4 ByeFelicia XD BYEEEFELICIA! yeah no I get you my friend does the same just mq cause he loves the story and I myself get bored too I just remind myself that it's a game so it's suppose to be fun I don't worry myself too much with other players using hack just report and be on my marry way, and to kill the boredom iI made a all level guild and they'll keep you busy forever lol sometimes I take "apprenticeships" which basically is just helping a low level who shows deep interest all I know about the game, and the helping others things feels rewarding itself so I guess you can say it's just kinda up to you to feel like you're winning with what you're doing it's your game, make it your own n.n

I registered on here just to say:
HI Rea!^^ (hope you see this ;P)
And well while I'm here, might as well say something about the topic I guess huh?(here goes for a mega long rambling of an old men and those who knows me sure knows I'm good at it xD)
Yeah so I'm "kinda retired" also, though I wish I would get back into it, I'm really doubting I have the will to start again, I will try but idk hmmm..just doesnt seems as important as it used to be for various reasons. Anyway once you retire from an online rpg you often realises how much you were overwhelmed by some game/pixels. Anyhow it remains a good memory and often wish you could rediscover the game again to feel the excitement that you had back then. Just like a new love or something. I played Final Fantasy XI online for about 6-7 years and let me tell you when I retired for good, said goodbye to friends who were still around, shared my gears and Gils(gold), I cried and it was sincere. I really was sad to say goodbye to my old love but, even though I still cherished the memories I knew it was a good move. Anyway just rambling here but that's what forums are for heh.
So, played Iruna for about 2years maybe, I'm ninja266 and feeling far behind now haha, login sometimes but idk I just stand still and talk a bit and poof, loged out! I used to get pissed at hackers and lazy people, always trying shortcuting or always trying to "get it easy" by hacking or leeching off others and made me always think wtf I'm working that hard for Jesus F Christ? And my 2 cents on this subjet btw is that Asobimo doesn't really care much about getting rid of hackers because so many peoples uses them that at this point if they would ban them they would lose a lot of players and also these hackers are still ending up spending $ on the game. So I very doubt they give a crap about, it's like they're playing cat and mice forever...Proof being that people can talk freely abouf it like the famous "LFP ninja SH" classic. Bunch of retards honeslty...and even worst the totally moronic "LFM sh user"...really that is a mix of the 2 things I hated most as mentioned earlier : Hacker and lazy people! Ruining the fun of a simple game just because you wanna get some huge, rapid growth E-penis. Cheaters and leechers...ow my, I hate them ;]
As a last note I'm not fully retired(or not just yet idk?) so don't come and beg me for my gears and gold. I'm still attached to all these so for now I'll just keep on standby. As tomorrow never knows. Ew...done! Cya and tc ^^

I'm also burnt out... I'm lvl 230...
Haven't played for more than 10 mins for about 1+ months now.. Just logged recently tho and I'm way behind lmao. I remember the last MQ I was on was somewhere around Gate Guardian or close to that... To stay committed to Iruna, I usually take 1-2 months break than come back. It used to be less than that but ehh... Anyways, I'm looking forward to getting reacquainted with the game again.

same thing happened to me until I found a new obsession called collecting maxed attack/defense equipment which means I should max every production (minus cooking) to be able to strengthen most equipment available on Iruna sounds tedious but the satisfaction is real(for me )
