Some people don't know this but...The same equip can sometimes be crafted and dropped, however, they don't always have the same stats. A great example of this is Eerie Crystal Armor. The stats on the crafted Eerie Crystal Armor are crap. Its like some Evasion and a small amount of Magic Res. I guess it's not super awful but not really anyone would spend the time to get this to use over the other better options available lol. The dropped version however is a different story and is probably the best Mage armor currently. It has CSPD+100 and some of the stats mentioned above. CSPD+100 is a lot when no Mage should be adding DEX nowadays since INT is more important. Another equip would be scholars glasses: Crafted: Max MP+50, CSPD+100 Dropped:Max MP+50, CSPD+50 This time the crafted version is better. A none mage equip for you: Brutal Dragon Sword Crafted: ASPD 500, CSPD 50 Dropped ASPD 500, CSPD 500 Yeah the CSPD is the only difference which.... doesn't make any difference lol. I've noticed some people didn't know crafted vs dropped is sometimes different haha. Have fun with this info

Alot of people actually don't know this. A very helpful post indeed. There should be like a stickied "good2know" thread of some sort with these things.
Edit: I just found sucha thread and it even was made by you xD Might want to add this there, then.

The alpha and beta players are just a fraction of the overall population after the recent official release. Hence why there are over 10 channels instead of 2 like in beta.

Okay being a alpha tester im going to clarify exactly what is going on or as best as I can. Equipment from normal monsters get better stats when crafted from the blacksmith has to do with the whole farming aspect to go along with quest and such. Boss drops on the other hand when crafted at the blacksmith always have lower or different stats this promotes creating parties at bosses and a reason to stick around killing them.
A bit of logical lore I apply to it is that the blacksmith over the years has repaired so many of the common drops that he now actually can enhance them a bit, where as with the more rare boss items he only sees a few of them and us always perplexed on how they retain life spirit from the boss itself which unfortunately he cannot replicate himself so although his versions are nice they cant match the spirit of the rare items. Just a little lore I figure fits the situation.

Oh also allot of the time the better crafted version from mobs reflects the stats of let say the area map boss like scholars glasses the version from the dark mushroom have the better stats that you see at the blacksmith sort of a fail safe for those that may not be able to kill the area boss yet the can still gather materials to make that slightly better version.
