So I've literally been farming the Forest Wolf for 4 weeks straight [solo], I've killed him hundreds of times and not once has that damn garb dropped. Am I really to believe that the garb is THAT rare? I've spoken with other people who have gotten it within a week of trying, some even TWICE while partying with them. Is it a conditional drop rewarded to people who rank first as attacker/tank/etc? (I always finish first as attacker), is there something I'm missing here?. Is it simply not possible to obtain while solo?.
Don't get me wrong, I get the whole "if it were easy then everyone would have it" argument, but 4 weeks of grinding for hours each day? really?. My interest is waning at this point.

Have you been breaking parts? I always break boss parts and tend to get their rares after a while

Im with you. Farmed forest wolf for a long time. Nothing
Im farming boss goblin for hours and nothing from him either. And yes I break ive even used gems and still nothing!!!
Im just going to level up my blacksmith to make the wolf garb. I am just so done farming bosses and not getting anything. Drop rate is just so ridiculous I dont get how others can be so lucky and get a drop the same day.

Yup I've been breaking parts, it seems to only yield horns though. Perhaps it's a conditional drop which only activates when you're partied? I have no idea. That wouldn't make sense considering other bosses like the Golem drop the bow, helmet, and shield so long as you break the respective parts.
Just seems ridiculous to go almost half a thousand battles without getting a drop that doesn't have any tangible value on the market. I'm all for something that's challenging to obtain but this is just getting monotonous now.

Your problem is your farming him solo. I strongly advise against doing this to get uncommon and rare drops. You'll get more loot from being in a party, getting 1st breaker, tank, dps and support is chance for more loot. If you want the good stuff, especially xtals, party up  |

still, you should probably do it in a party. its faster. you dont have to break to get the Forrest Wolf Garb. i've gotten it plenty of times without breaking. but if you feel its necessary, then by all means, please do. theres no harm in doing so. even though its a rare item, i promise you its not that rare to get. i've gotten it twice times by myself in no time and twice in a party. and believe me when i say i got it fast by myself, but in a party, it was much faster. also 1st place bonus also helps

Yeah I agree its faster. But when you pt for hours and still dont get what you want it tends to get annoying. I think i have stacks of materials to make the garb but not the garb itself

I mean I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case, given my first hand experience at this point. This is one particular issue where I hope its me and not the game lol. |

I'm with you. 2 days I do it alone but I didn't get any. So after that I formed party for 2 days too and I even ranked first for dps and breaker but I didn't get any. Because of that I end up making one since I got many of the mats...

Dont know why you dont get armor drop but ive farmed him solo or with party both drops wolf garb. Advisable fast kill with break.

I agree it has been a pain getting wolf armor to drop im just dealing with using a ns one from the bs funny thing is I have been farming wolf off and on sense beta start by far most time spent killing him than anything else and still no drop. But last night while farming gespent for ominous horns I get his xtal within 5 kills then his cape not long after. I think they may be using a bit more complex loot drop rate so tuings like adding luck and drop rate skills will effect drops more is my theory.

Thats the thing, I did a full 10 point spec into drop rate and even then it seems to do absolutely nothing. I haven't tried Luck yet but honestly, I feel like that would really gimp my character since I have no idea whats an adequate amount of Luck to begin with. As far as my means of killing, I can solo the Forest Wolf in under 40 seconds (including break), so I cant imagine going any faster unless I landed a string of critical hits. |

I beleive there is an order to the breaks that cause different rates to drop..also easier in pt if you get 1st in a class

There is not much to break on forest wolf though. Unless you attack for a bit then break, but even that doesnt make him drop any armor. Using gems that raises drop doesnt do anything either
