I'm using Samsung S4 I sent a report and they gave me instructions. Tried it out but didn't work. Sharing incase this might work for you.

We appreciate your report, if the issue is still occurring, we recommend that you please try the following.
-Restart your device -Uninstall, and re-install application -Clear cache -If there is not much memory available on your device, secure a sufficient amount of memory by removing any excess data -If your connection is not stable, please play where you can maintain a stable connection, and/or try connecting via Wi-Fi
If the above does not help to resolve your issue, please perform the following operations at your own risk. It may help the issue.
"Settings" > "Developer options" > Check "Use NuPlayer (experimental)" Use Nuplayer instead of AwesomePlayer
If there is no "Developer options", please try the following.
"Settings" > "About phone" > Tap "Build number" multiple times.

The latest update seems to have fixed the problem with lollipop as I am back online can someone else confirm that the update fixed the issue
