Greetings everyone. I'd like to bring to light a matter that i have not been able to solve by myself, i have searched much through the internet and forums, but i cannot find a conclusive answer, so i seek guidance from the pro ninjas of the boards. I recently made a ninja and i must say i love it, also it progressed faster via mq than anything i was expecting. So the question at hand now is "the third stat-STR vs DEX". Here are the details of my ninja: STATS: 256AGI-240CRIT- 5 unspent (not adding more crit atm because 240crit(80%)+base crit chance(5%)+schwarts(10%)=95% crit chance, so im already at the max crit rate. GEAR: WEAPON: Ameno Uzume ns/Malica bow ns/Kodachi ns agi lvl1 ARMOR: Scwharts ns crit lvl1/ schwarts up slot clean(in storage till i get ganei) ADD GEAR: Ghost ring slot clean/Dark wings slot clean SPECIAL: Magical ring ns<clone switch with> s.bangle ns/dragonewt bangle slot With these gears and stats, currently i deal 3.5-3.7k on megas (Ameno Uzume), with highest DOC damage being 35k My ATK is 1100+ with either bow, with koda it drops down to 700s Here is what i know so far about both builds AGI/CRIT/STR: PROS: Gets the highest doc damage. 2atk from agi 2 from str which is more than 3.5 for special bow CONS: Cast time and skill delay same a level 100 ninja without skill delay gear, need 9 clone doc for max damage, which can be hard to set up in some conditions. Takes a VERY high level to surpass spec bow as STR is the third stat to be maxed. AGI/CRIT/DEX: PROS: Great damage from early on, faster skill spam, with thimble you get 4.5 atk from your stats which trumps the agi/crit/str build by quite some points. CONS: Thimble slot -_- you cant just slap a ganei on dragonnewt and be done with it like incase of a str build. Lower DOC damage. Very few special bows compared to nail weapons. So if someone could please elaborate further on this and explain which build would have more damage per second? would a thimble ns with spec bow trump the damage of koda up ganei + dragonnewt ganei? Is adding so much dex worth it as compared to str? Just exactly how do these stats compare against each other? oh and heres a wild one: LONG TERM FEASIBILITY: AGI-CRIT-DEX builds would, sometime in the future, be able to pick INT as the fourth stat, completing an all around throwing+magic+spec bow build. AGI-CRIT-STR builds, would have to pick DEX as the fourth choice, cuz...well..that would be the only option left. <----all very far fetched but just some fun stuff to think about. Any help, suggestions, additions, criticism, would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Just what I can add onto this, imo.
Claw Build: (AGI/CRIT/STR) I feel that this build is heavily supported by the current available equips, especially if you have emperdacle. I find that that weapon allows the build to be more desirable than the spec bow build. The only con I see is the fact that emperdacle is only available through the anniversary event lottery, which could be a bummer for those who didn't farm spc coins during the event.
Spec Bow Build: (AGI/CRIT/DEX) The higher base attack is awesome at first, but then at later lvls you will crave the attack interval cut of emperdacle, but what makes up for the build? The fact that you are now able to become a spec bow DoC spammer as well as auto attack. So far in game, from gear and max dex at lvl 253 it is possible to spam 5 clones. At later lvls and available gear you can raise your skill delay (don't forget buffs). A skill spam at least gives some life to the Ninja class, being an auto attacker can get really tiring tbh.
But whichever stats you build is your choice tbh. Btw referring to your build of agi/crit/dex/int I was informed that auto attacks break the chain required for the Katon>Raiton>Earthshaker>Domination Combo. PS. Why stop adding crit there? You'll gain more atk from it if you're using spec bow, it should place you around 1500 atk or near there at least.

adding crt increases crt dmg too, each 2 points roughly equates to 1% crit dmg
about differences between ganei spc eq, vs thimble ns, it can be summarized below:
at level 255 with the ability to max 3 stats,
if your att can reach 2000 base- with ganei spc eq on you +200 bonus att, making it 2200. with thimble ns you +256 bonus att, making it 2256.
if your att can reach 2500 base- with ganei spc eq on you +250 bonus att, making it 2250. with thimble ns you +256 bonus att, making it 2256.

Thank you that actually helped me a lot in deciding my path So basically emperdacle is one of the major attractions of the STR build, other wise one would need STR>200(approx.) to out damage special bow, that being said there are lots of other attractions for that build too, For myself however i chose the DEX build, as i played a hwiz before and skill delay for ninja feels a tad slow, i know gear will play more part in skill delay than dex, but a base damage of 1500-1600 with a possibility of spamming 5 clones was too tempting for me. Oh and yes you are indeed right about the 4stat build, i read on forums that even pure magic builds are sometimes unable to perform the burn/para/shake combo so an auto attack would definitely get in the way and mess up the timing sequence, thanks for refreshing my memory. P.S I stopped because i was undecided whether to go for spec bow or pure nail, and being pure nail i though i would start with STR earlier than maxing crit since STR is more vital, (like use the str>200 xtal, forgot its name, im just so bad with names and directions) Ive maxed both agi and crit now, with no xtals and all ns gear my base attack is almost 1200 (1992 maybe i think), but now that i've finally gotten my first ganei its 1300+, with another 2 ganei it would definitely be 1500+ without thimble.

Ahhh you just made life so much simpler with this, thank you i really needed this. so basically, it would all depend on how much base attack you have, because ganei is percentage based so it will rise higher the higher your base attack goes, and thimble would always be a flat 256 by dex, oh..so to get the best of both i suppose i'd have to get a thimble slot ganei to get a bit op. thanks again

Im assuming here tht nail ninja go for "melee up" damage as it ignores barriers, but special bow dont do melee damage, so is switching to claws currently the only way?

Well I've done fine with Ultimi Magonza +300 melee there although i havent been able to defeat Vida yet. Edit: There is also Dullahan xtal which adds Melee up by your ASPD.

Your ATK values are computed in a way which all base values are added first (base values like ATK from stat, weapon, and in this example, thimble bonus). After that, it is subjected to your (%) multipliers. So a thimble with 256ATK is increased to 384ATK if you have 5x Ganei xtals, since it grants 50%ATK total. Same goes with base ATK values you find on gears or xtals.

^ so, do correct me if im wrong, that would mean that with thimble s you will always have a higher base attack than a STR build?

I see, ty for the info, kongo arrows would give a lot of potential to STR build then since they already enjoy max doc damage.
