I was toying around with the idea of writing a tanking guide since I've basically been tanking since level 180 skills came out on my Enchanter and talk with Paladins a lot about it.
It would mostly be about gear choices, who can't tank what, and party compositions for certain tanks to have an easier time. It would cover Paladin, Enchanter, Gladiator(they aren't actually tanks but may end up tanking occasionally), and Samurai. I probably won't include Ninja but just mention that they can tank certain bosses but that it isn't worth it for a lot of higher level bosses due to status effects. This will be for bosses not xp parties too.
Any suggestions about what to put in the guide if I make it would be nice too.
Edit: Oh also pros and cons of the tanks

Just about to reach 180, we will see if origin is as good as they say *-* As a sign of things to come for you. I was fighting guevol for mq and he completely wrecked me in the mq field. I beat him with a pt but afterwards just for giggles I used origin and went in alone, to emerge the victor. I was 218 or so. So mq weakened wrecked me. But then origin let me solo him outside mq. From that day on I will never take origin for granted.

Most fit that though. What do you mean by using Ninja gear on bosses that burn?

Yes its needed. Many people make mistakes on tanking i guess. Also pros-cons what could happen with for example a lil laggy paladin loose agro easily, always aware of getting hit and not to trust unknown people skills. Samurai tank loses aggro lot easier. How to keep aggro on hi lvl pally as low lvll bishop(dont spam heal) how to predict ninja death(debuff-stunned ninja is almost guaranteed death) iron up/zant ninja tanks stun bosses(timing, make sure u are not on cooldown when stun comes) and so on do it. 8)

I was under the assumption they got the most hate out of the tanks. They need the proper build and gear though. Paladins need to be able to keep hate from heal spam since its necessary at times. I'll include Iron UP/Zant for Ninjas when I talk about gear. Gear on Ninjas is gonna be much less detailed though probably. Gladiators wouldn't get much detail either but they tank with the same stuff as Paladin practically.

I doubt that is really even needed for the most part though. I know as an Enchanter I take less damage than Paladins so I already don't burden Bishops as much.

Not guarantee on higher lvl, higher dmg how well vit samu holds aggro but my 161 lost aggro on bishop a while ago, my weapon aint +9 neither. Zero provoke abilities. Samu holds aggro greatly right after f.stroke but right on exhaustion ~10sec boss starts to attack other pt members.

Enchanter takes less damage than Paladin, but thats because they have less HP. The difference in damage taken is less on Light/Dark/Neutral Mobs. Stun from what I've noticed is no longer a problem for me on Enchanter. Imuseti stunned me 3 or 4 times in a row and the Bishop was able to heal me just fine. That's the longest stun I've noticed and Imuseti attacks pretty fast after stunning unlike the majority of bosses and does pretty decent damage. Would a Paladin have an easier time with it? Definitely. Does it matter if both can tank it easily? Not really. This isn't about which is better or which isn't. Pros and Cons of the classes will be useful information to everyone to help choose party members more effectively though. Paladins are also usually the safer choice since they will most likely be set up for tanking better than other classes gear wise.
