You don't have the right idea about how the counters activate. The counters will activate regardless of if you can take the hit or not, since I always find myself negating mezzaluna's guardian (death blow) attack just after the initial hp and mp deplete. On occasions I gain the damage back as HP, refilling my HP completely if it critically hits. It isn't a matter of being able to take the hits for the counters to work, but rather the chance of it to work or not.

What you should really want with a Disable set is to push your Autoskill with ability Lv5 and Lv4 on additional/accessory and anticipate Lv3 (and maybe Lv2 and Lv1). Although it is impossible to stack the rates to 100%, you would want to be as close to it as you can. You'd also survive better with bosses that removes buffs, giving you enough time to pop your autoskill buff back.

I'm inspired to make a counter enchanter! How much spina do I need to get the damage reducer set? This really depends on how much you can spend. A LvL1 autoskill ablitity costs around 15m. You need 8 of those for LvL4 and 16 of those for LvL5. You could opt to have LvL4 and Lvl3 if short in budget. A Lotus seed slot cost around 250m. Anything else looks like small money (e.g. judgement/dmail/sofys xtal, etc). Of course you can get abilities and lotus for less if you are lucky. And of course you can opt for less budget build but you get what you pay for.

My set as of current (after taking all day to find the screenshots of trades) is 34m. That's because I got mir symbol for free; so if adding mir: it would be like 40-42m total spent. Only thing that makes this set expensive is autoskill ability really.

Before I quit iruna 42m wouldn't have been much of a problem. When I guit however,I gave all my stuff away to a friend because I honestly didn't think I would return to Iruna. Needless to say I am broke now that I have decided to play again so it would take some time to get the funds to aquire a set like that. Unless the drop gods bless me with a valuable drop soon it looks like my career as a counter enchanter will have to be put on hold. Btw Ty currently my bishop is lvl 143 in game. His name is Phamous (naturally lol) hit me up sometime!

Hey guys, just wanted to keep you updated. Yesterday i started a magonza farm and found that ninjas were always stealing hate from me (pretty annoying cause i could not counter AND couldn't heal mp when the MP delete happens) For lv220+ enchanters with Magic Blade, hate is not a problem. BUT, i found a lil' thing that helped me and may help any tank enchanter lv220- And this thing is! (drums please) Auto-provoke xtal!! Seriously, I found this in Sofya's synthesist and its pretty easy to make one (10 provoke xtals from kijimu in nezim, 50 small ember and 12 fire beads) and with my build i could steal hate from 2 ninjas 180+, even knowing that i only have 160 aspd. Auto-provoke is way more efficient than provoke, just because you can proc provoke when attacking (almost 50% chance) instead of wasting 4-5 seconds with the skill. I think i will work a little with my aspd and see if this xtal is really worth it

I can't imagine it keeping hate from most things without that. I used to use it when I tanked all the time.

Switched back to full damage counter set for faster lvling with quest. I will go back to negate set when i reach lv200 and have illness hit *-*/ Oh, tested the full damage counter set against magonza, i had never tried it with origin. Blasted it out in less than 2 minutes (boom headshot!)
