I've looked at many people's suggestions and they have listed their various steps in going through production. It seems that many of the recipes are missed out (obviously, it would take forever to find the materials for each recipe). Most people seem to suggest making recipes quite a bit higher than your own level at that point, and do this until you get no more exp for it.
So you can produce recipes above your actual production level, but it more often fails. However, you do (rarely) get jumps of 4 or even 5 exp. ..
... Is this the fastest way of levelling? Or is the fail rate actually making it slower? :3
Is it best to stick to recipes closer to your level (the farming takes longer as you need to get materials for a lot more recipes)? What did you do?

I believe the fail rate can make the production leveling faster.
When the recipe fails you can still get exp (from 0-5 depending on the recipe level in relation to your production level), and most of the time you won't lose materials, or will use less material then when the recipe is a sucess.
That's why i chose to make the highest level recipe availabe that can be easily farmed (recipes with 1-2 materials that are common drops or at least aren't very uncommon)
My method to level production is to make a list of the easy repices, noting their level and materials, calculate how many mats would be needed to reach the next easy recipe if i were to use 1 stack of tools for each level, and then multiply that number for 0.75.
From my experience thats is a good calculation to avoid over/ under farming for the materials.
