Hello there! So you want to be a summoner, eh? Well I'm here assist you on your adventure!In this guide I'll be showing you the ropes around how to build your summoner and some important things to know about it. I'll be building the FAQ section as more questions come inNow lets get started, shall we?
Things I need to add/change:-Correction of info (high priority)-Formatting and color coding -Beginner's Guide -Additional, Special Equipment, AL Crysta, and Relic Crysta information in Damage/Summoning gear section -Item Recovery, MP cost, HP, Range Cut, Resist, and Heal Recovery gear sections -Skill Listing and information -Summon AI information -Recommended Setup information -summon info FAQ What should I know about Summoner before I make one? There's a few things. Here's a list: -Summons take on the stats that you have when summoning, they will keep those stats even if you switch gear -Summon Damage is equally based on MATK and ATK -Summons use MP to use skills and stay summoned -Summons will attack automatically for 3 mobs, then stop. You can set your Summon AI to only attack when commanded -Setting your Summon AI to use only one skill will only result in the skill being used more frequently, it is impossible to make summons use only one skill -You can set your Summon AI to use buffs and heals passively. More info in Summon AI -Summon Commands have fixed delay -You can Increase the Ailment time of Summon Skills with gear (after summoning)
Why can't I build leadership? You may have noticed you're not gaining much leadership% in parties, or any at all for that matter. Why is that? Well, there is currently no way to build leadership% when someone in your party has the enemies aggro. You or your summons must have the enemies aggro to gain leadership.
Why do I have to use bows on Summoner? If you use any weapon aside from bows on summoner, your damage decreases by -70%. I don't think anyone wants that.
Why doesn't summoner use Special Bow? To put it bluntly, Special Bows are the absolute worst option for summoners. They give no statistical advantage. If anything, they give a statistical disadvantage. Special Bows have -1 ATK per VIT and INT. Which means those stats will lower your ATK. INT and VIT are important to summoner. More info in Stats
What affects summons? What doesn't affect summons? There's a few things that affect summons, but there's more things that don't. If you cant remember an entire list, remember this-- summons can only be affected by stats that appear on your stat page. Though a few exceptions apply. Here's a complete list of things that do and dont affect summons
Does affect summons: ATK, MATK, DEF, MDEF, EVA, CRT and CRT rate (increases normal attack rate), HP
Doesnt affect summons: Melee, Magic, Melee to Element, Element Magic, Crit Damage, Spellburst, Shellbreak, Absolute/Magic Evasion, Melee/Magic Resist, Elemental Resist, Damage Cut, Rate Cut, Range Cut, MP, Heal Reward, Heal Recovery, Melee/Magic Pierce, HIT, ASPD, CSPD, Hate, Autoskills, Autoskill%
Natural MP recovery, Item Recovery, or MP cost... which is best? In my opinion, Item Recovery. With it, you'll heal more MP with potions than you'll use. But if you're like me and hate using potions, then use -MP cost. MP recovery lost its usefulness after the Summoner re-balance happened.
Stats In this section I'll cover, not only the builds and what they're good for, but what each stat does for summoner Stats Uses:
STR: Increases ATK with Normal Bows, Bellow of Order, Ideaus (250 STR) and Adamantite Arrows.
INT: Increases MATK. Increases ATK with Magic Bows.
VIT: Increases HP.
AGI: Increases Evasion. Increases self attack speed (summon attack speed will remain the same)
DEX: Increases MATK. Increases ATK with Normal Bows, Magic Bows, Monty Beret, and Thimble. Reduces Skill Delay
CRT: Increases the frequency in which summons use normal attacks instead of skills. (Not recommended)
Builds
DPS (recommended)- DEX/STR/INT/remaining VIT This is the standard and recommended build. It's the highest damage build and will yield enough survival from VIT to solo on your own. Can use Magic or Normal Bows. All summons will be useful to you
Tank- VIT/INT/DEX or AGI/Remaining DEX or AGI This is the tankiest build. This build focuses on sacrificing damage for survival and uses Magic Bows. The choice of DEX or AGI is whether you want more survival or more damage. Your main Summons will be Colon Knight and Farfy
Auto attack- NEED MORE INFO
Gear:While I have my own recommended gear set, the choice is yours depending on what you want from your set. More info in Recommended Setup.

Reverse Shigeto Bow (Normal Bow)- MATK+14%, MDEF+80, Range+2, Melee+350, Melee&Magic pierce up by INT, ATK +8%, Critical damage +15%
Symbios Bow III (Normal Bow)- ATK+20%, Autoskill+13%, MP cost -25%, Range+1, Auto MP recovery +25%, All damage R -10%, Absolute Evasion -10%, Magic Evasion, -10%, Double Attack Chance
Seele Despair (Magic Bow)- ATK up based on Lv Absolute accuracy +25%, Autoskill+8% Magic attack chance by attack
Mirror Bow MR (Magic Bow)- ATK&MATK+10%, Melee&Magic R +10%, Rate cut +10%
Mirror Bow MAG/ (Magic Bow)- ATK +10%, MATK +10%, Absolute Evasion +10%, Magic Evasion +10%, Autoskill +5%, Small AGI up by Lv
Mirror Bow MLF (Magic Bow)- ATK&MATK+10%, MaxHP&MP+15%, Small VIT up by Lv

Country Road- ATK +10%, MATK +10%, Item Delay -0.5s, Skill Delay -0.5s, MP Cost -20%, Ailment R -30%
Idea Replica- ATK&MATK+10%, All element R +5%, MaxHP&MP+10%
Bellow Of Order (Strengthened 1)- Melee&Magic R +13%, ATK up by STR MATK up by INT, Skill delay -1.2sec Damage cut chance by defense
Ultimi (Strengthened 3)- ATK+14% MATK+18% Accuracy+100 Melee+900 Delay-1sec, Critical up Absolute evasion +10%
Fallen God's Armor- MaxHP&MP-10%, Light R -50% Dark R +20%, ATK&MATK+14% With fallen god's weapon... Skill delay - 1 sec, Melee&Magic Res + 10%, critical damage + 10%
Heinrich Mail (Strengthened 2)- ATK&MATK+14%, Melee&Magic pierce +6% Magic evasion +8%. Heal reward +1000 Dmg cut if HP is 25% or lower.

How about 2s Tunic(Strengthened 3) x2 Ideaus? It give more Atk & Matk than 1s ultimi(Strengthened 3) +Ideaus
