Kinda not yet discused in forum. Pls help to complete characteristic. Tyvm in advance for any correction n further info
Known characteristic : 1. Atk% seems lost to melee to element if condition meet (element) 2. Melee% doesnt increase atk value in t stat
Question : 1. How bout t trio melee% ? R they t same if condition meet ? 2. Is melee% beat atk% like t melee element ? 3. Is melee2boss better than atk% ? 4. Any formula regarding those melee trio ?

On my gladiator I had 2s low with two sauro II and it was always out done in dmg by mirror/inselector with respective xtals
Other gear was same Boo ini Areleta ideaus x2 Wild ring x2 ideaus

Hm what about balmung sword vs ele sword with 1 sauro ii for me 1 str added 7.5 ato in status balmung atk+32% if str dex more than 400 and str+100

Tested some calculation compared atk/elemental/c.dmg/melee to boss. Im used with physical class, didnt play much magic class so idk exactly how matk calculation is. If look back into unwritten formula thread, the physical damage calculation step is like this (simplified)
((Raw atk stat + weapon atk) x atk%) x elemental x physical power(melee%)x melee to boss x c.dmg multiplier = X Equips/crysta/al/abi with melee% is less in option. Plus it only gives small % such as ira reup (1% melee). But thanks to relic, thers possiblity in raising melee% over 10% soon.
Have 10% atk, 50% melee to light, 3.5 damage multiplier, 1 melee to boss multiplier, rear backstab (x6.5 c.dmg) Raw atk stat 8000 (not boosted by atk%) Weapon atk 300 vs light element boss
((Raw atk stat+weapon atk)x(1.1+atk%))x(1.5+element%)x(1+melee to boss%)x(3.5+c.dmg%)x(skill multiplier)
Test 1 extra 20% atk (total 30% atk) ((8000+300) x (1.1+(20%)) x (1.5+(0%)) x (1+(0%)) x (3.5+(0%)) x 6.5 =X (8300 x 1.3) x 1.5 x 1 x 3.5 x 6.5 = 368208.75
Test 2 extra 20% c.dmg (total 3.7 c.dmg multiplier) ((8000+300) x (1.1+(0%)) x (1.5+(0%)) x (1+(0%)) x (3.5+(20%)) x 6.5 =X (8300 x 1.1) x 1.5 x 1 x 3.7 x 6.5 = 329364.75
Test 3 extra 20% melee to light (total 70% melee to light) ((8000+300) x (1.1+(0%)) x (1.5+(20%)) x (1+(0%)) x (3.5+(0%)) x 6.5 =X (8300 x 1.1) x 1.7 x 1 x 3.5 x 6.5 = 353102.75
Test 4 extra 20% melee to boss (total 20% melee to boss) ((8000+300) x (1.1+(0%)) x (1.5+(0%)) x (1+(20%)) x (3.5+(0%)) x 6.5 =X (8300 x 1.1) x 1.5 x 1.2 x 3.5 x 6.5 = 373873.5
Having all kind of multiplier is a must cuz it helps in increasing dmg instead of focusing on one.

I hv done very tiny test lol. I found that melee% doesnt increase atk number in t stat. T test done with melee% relic. Atk% relic as we know rise atk number in t stat.
If melee2element% outperform t atk% as we know it then its possible that melee% is last part boost when all physical damage kinda (atk% crtdmg%) hv given result. This might explain why melee2element power over other (aka atk% crt dmg%)

Thers 3 kind of melee
Melee (Universal) Melee to element (effective only to the target element) Melee to boss (effective only to boss)
The monk asura aura can be considered as melee(universal). Then combination is calculated after asura aura, and before critical damage calculation. This combination passive can be considered as 2nd melee(universal)
Asura aura >> x1.5 physical power at 100% energy and goes lower as energy decreased Combination >> Took some time to build the gauge. x2 physical power at 100% combo
