Hi my name is yuzade, and I'm also a minstrel in iruna and the new jp patch balance for mins is finally out. I would like to discuss on what new possibilities(?) for the new whole changed mins.
Some Questions I want to be answered and be discussed as a community; - (no more dragonewt spam anymore???) I don't want to believe this. - New possible builds? - Did Mins really deserve this balance? (they're good just the way they are) - How does this effective/support this to Minstrels now? in the current meta. - what are the benefits? also since no more extra 25% bonus does that mean no more hp increase? possible unlimited buffing? - Others(?)

Hello Yuzade, I'm kind of glad that someone actually brought this up. I believe this huge af nerf to dragonewt is an abomination. I truly hate this but this is what Asobimo wants. I'm switching to Alchemist now buh BYE!!
anyways for ur questions... 1. Yes, tragic. 2. INT/DEX/VIT (ultimate support/magic build) 3. I'm on a neutral side to this balance. I hate & love it. (leaning on hate) 4. This gives Mins more to their soloing strategies due to struggles as a solo Mins. 5. I figured that also with the bonus so I personally don't know how to answer that one bud.

Dragonewt is supposed to be our way to be OP as a support(dps wise ofc). Then again, I might be wrong with interpreting the translation. Would it really remove the song with the shortest duration(regardless of how short it is)? Or perhaps, only remove the shortest song if it reached a certain point(like if its only 5 sec left dnewt would remove it)?
- New possible builds? Idk, I might agree with MagicChi with the [edit: INT DEX VIT] build. But I think physical auto will still be good (w/passionate) and also magic autos(ofc, also with that)

There's this idea that minstrels are special classes that uses song magic as their skills.(some other rpgs also have this idea).Well, Asobimo probably thought of that and decided to add damage to every song we have as a magic attack. Hmm, ive read it in the same thread that since stats+ were removed, they could at least spam their skills now. Also since sandstorm was changed, bishops might still not be able to use their bright heal to remove the stun. (Unless they have a phrase for that)
The change was mainly for the mins to be able to solo but some songs, like cleave could now be able to be used situationally - not just a part of a given set of songs to be sung. When a boss has a barrier, switch to cleave. That also gives the fact that mins should also think about the song's arrangements since song buffs go in and out the FIFO way(first in, first out) and ofc, first singing the song in which they think would matter the least. Something like that.

I just have to say that songs really became more colorful, in a way xD Also, unlimited buffing?- Others(?) -Using Warrior song to get further from pt and then using life to increase your HP then going back in, and using Improvisation after to heal the dead tank(like it would happen)xD

Say guys, its been bugging me a lot lately...Suppose you're in a mob farm pt. All ppl in the pt can probably one-shot the mob. Since most songs have been turned to a magic attack and they have a shorter range to be able to buff the pt, wont it somehow disrupt what others are doing? Pt members might say: "Hye! Stop stelling mah killz!?!" O__o "My megic spell didnt nuke anything...I waited like a year to cast that D:<" I suppose, they wont mind it much if they would be willing to give away some mobs for the mins so they can sing every interval. But, the idea of getting ganged up by your own pt members is so painful to even imagine.. What do you guys think?

Hello. I think I'm a bit late. Sorry owo.
To me, I think the new balance adjustment is great. From the start I've been seeing Minstrel as a Class that can do everything. So the new skill adjustments are pretty great.
First, It's the ability to use all stats. I see Minstrel as an all rounder class. Being an all rounder class, I think it lacked MATK since we used to have only ATK dependent skills. So Magic dependent players whom switched to Minstrel would have been deprived from being a damager (Except magic autoskills). With the new skills, mage type Minstrels will get back on track. Many of us whom played for the first time, dumped our stats points on everything! We didn't left anything A A A A ! ! ! So with the new skill improvements, our all stats little characters will be able to see light again.
Second, decrease limitations of autoattack users. When I made a Monk, I quit playing my Minstrel since it didn't had attack interval cut which Monk had. As a Physical auto attack Minstrel, Attack interval was a must to deal high damage, and only thing to do that was dual blow. No dual blow, no high damage. But now, With Passion Song cutting interval, Claw Minstrels will be able to deal double damage. Also with other type of Minstrels whom were autoattackers.

How about counter mins build? Their gameplay will be similiar with counter ench or counter bish, but spam song instead spam heal or stone skin

Songs take away HP. Counter takes away HP (Since counter only work when you get hit.). I think It'll be RIP. Unless using Counter on Evasion.

Sadly after I post the video damage calculation for skill have been change from magic to physical. I did some test on physical type too in past 2 days. In term of damage and performance nothing change much. I hope there will be opportunity for minstrel pure MATK too giving more diverse build if that is possible.
