Pein's Paladin Guide (Reworked)!

Feel free to add onto the list if you feel that there are new gears or crystas that should be added to the guide. For those that help contribute towards the thread will be given credit at the end. Hopefully the guide will be of use to any future paladins in the making ^^)/

Grinding:
Baum Warriors [240+]
Location:
Kilf Rocky Area
Attribute:
Earth
EXP Gain (Non-Ticket) Solo-Wise:
193-194k Experience
Another high HP mob which is a great proceed from Nommars and Megaroches. These mobs have about 7 times as much HP as Megaroches do, so taking them down will be quite the challenge. Fire Element weapons will be great against taking these monsters down. I also would recommend joining a party since it will be quite tedious farming with Guardian until you get Knight's Oath. Parties would definitely love someone to take the hate whilst they're free to do damage.
Yardes [260+]
Location:
Zalms Plains
Attribute:
Light
EXP Gain (Non-Ticket) Solo-wise:
325-327k Experience
These mobs offer almost double the amount that Baum Warriors do. Not only this, but they have just about the same HP as Baum Warriors, just a little more. Again, I would recommend getting a PT as it will be tedious since these mobs have 7-8x times the HP than the mobs back in EP2. If you have Knight's Oath, however, it should be a fun farm as it is an AoE skill and these mobs do not put ailments on you often. What is even more amazing is that this mob is part of a quest from Chat called [Secure the Transport Path!] where it is optional to kill 10 of these baddies, and you will get 380% more than you normally would from the quest. A great grind, indeed!
Third Eyes [300+]
Location:
Tower of Yafula
Attribute:
Neutral
EXP Gain (Non-Ticket) Solo-Wise:
480K Experience
This is the latest high HP mob that offers the most EXP of all the mobs in Iruna. It is also the most frequently visited area for grinding as of far. These mobs spawn very uncommonly and have a high amount of HP (1,000,000). You should totally go here if you want the best possible results EXP wise. I absolutely recommend a PT as these mobs are very hard hitting unlike the other ones covered.
Nommars [240+]
Location:
Primordial Lands
Attribute:
Fire
EXP Gain (Non-Ticket) Solo-Wise:
84K Experience
This is a great mob to do and I would recommend this before Baum Warriors. Why? Because it has two quests for you to do for your enjoyment. Not only this, but it seems that it is rare to see a lot of people here grinding. It is a wide open space for everyone to have fun. Their spawn is not uncommon and you will usually find yourself killing 2-3 of these each time around. You're free to try this one solo as these mobs are not hard hitting but they may be a bit annoying as they have the tendency to stun you. If you're going to try this mob out, getting the [Dirty Gears] quest in Pilaneza City is a must as you will collect these as you grind. Getting the other one [Monsters in Holy Lands] is optional as you only have to kill 5 Nommars for this quest. You won't see yourself coming to kill alot of Nommars if you do, but you will be rewarded a good chunk of EXP for your efforts.
Megaroche [160+]
Location:
Mubele Pass
Attribute:
Water
Exp Gain (Non-Ticket) Solo-wise:
149-151K Experience
These are one of the high HP mobs where everyone grinds usually. I wouldn't recommend soloing these as they have high hp, and you will end up burning up alot of pots. Exp within a 4 man party will probably be cut down to 60-80K Experience, but even so its good exp if you don't like doing Exp quests. I'd recommend doing this if you like to party up with people, which you should be doing since you are a pally anyways xD. This will feel slow early on in my opinion since megaroche are always crowded with players . Use wind element weapons like sinbad or have an enchanter cast wind origin on you if you'd like to deal more guardian damage due to elemental advantage.
High Ent [160+]
Location:
Magonza's Fortress
Attribute:
Fire
Exp Gain (Non Ticket) Solo-wise:
37K Experience
This is another fairly high Hp mob you will find everyone grinding usually now. Since these mobs don't have as high hp as megaroche, I would recommend trying to solo these since they are fairly easy to kill. In a 4 man party your exp will probably be cut down to around 10-25K at the minimum, but because they are easy to kill it may be faster rather than to do megaroche. However this area is crowded as well but the spawn rate for high ents are faster than megaroche. Use fire elemental weapons to increase your guardian damage such as Dragon roar due to elemental advantage or have an enchanter cast fire origin on you.

98-101K Experience
This is one of the high HP mobs you may find some people grinding usually. I wouldn't recommend soloing these as they have higher HP than high ents, so you will end up burning through alot of pots to kill one, although they don't have as high hp as a megaroche. In a 4 man party you will gain around 45-60K experience. This area isn't as crowded as Megaroche or High ents, so it would be good if you can manage to form a party here as Balors spawn on all floors of this dungeon. Use wind elemental weapons like Sinbad to increase your guardian damage against these mobs due to elemental advantage or have an enchanter cast wind orgin on you.
Amikiri [140+]

Exp Gain (Non Ticket) Solo-Wise:
4.8-4.9K Experience
These are one of the low level mobs you will find early on to grind till you have guardian. These mobs have really low hp so I would recommend soloing these if you are below 160 and want to work your way up to getting guardian. To top it all off these mobs are dark element, meaning that you can abuse them with gloria buff (yay xD) and spam hard hit or holy thrust against them. I would strongly recommend to level with these mobs if you don't enjoy doing exp quests.

Leveling Guide
Here I will explain to you the methods of how most of us paladins leveled from 140-350 via exp quests or through hardcore grinding. Feel free to select whichever methods are easier and more of your preference.

Balor [160+]
Location:
Halib Marshlands
Attribute:

{The Hate Bar, Tips for Parties and Paladin's Roles}{The Hate Bar, Tips for Parties and Paladin's Roles}
Throughout the year, one of the notable additions has been the Hate Bar. This bar will change colors and raise if you attack a monster or perform a skill. These colors are very important to follow for Paladins as it is vital for you to keep the Hate with this class so Devotion can work properly and your PT can thrive on getting safer kills through teamwork.
This is the hate bar and it's colors. Pay attention to the bar going from right to left. The right side represents Non aggression, and this is what you should never strive to aim for as the Tank of the PT. Light brown means the mob is not paying their attention to you but they're on the verge of doing it, whereas dark brown means the total opposite. The left side, on the other hand, represents the side of aggression. Always aim for the Pink and Red Colors. These indicate that you are fully in control and everyone in your PT should be alright if Devotion is landing most of the times. Your PT may still die sometimes because Devotion does not have a 100% rate of nullifying AoE attacks, but all of the main damage will be going to you and that will make the Healer's job a lot easier as they do not have to divert their focus on the other members of the PT.
Now, my tips for Paladin:
-The hate bar is not very important when farming weak mobs, but it is important for tankier mobs. Low HP mobs aren't much of a problem to the PT as they can be handled with ease. However, high HP mobs are a problem and need to be looked after. If you can, communicate with your PT and tell them to let you attack first before they dish out damage.
-When there is a continuation effect debuff, your first skill you should be applying to yourself is Devotion. This is because Devotion helps to nullify AoE attacks and not having this effect on will ensure death on your PT members if they have low health and the boss so happens to use an AoE attack. Applying Devotion will help the PT have more time to get accustomed to what has just happened and adapt to the situation.
-You should always carry Consumables and Recovery Items around. In the case you don't have someone playing the healer role, these items do a great job of playing exactly that role. Paladins are known to be the class that actually should be carrying the most consumables/recovery items of all classes. It just depends on the gears you have, but if you are farming mobs you can switch to an Item Recovery/Item Delay set and use that when you need to heal up. In boss fights, however, the situation will differentiate as you are actively fighting the boss with 0 downtime. Items wise, I think having any item that can delete ailments, increase your resistance or heal you for a good chunk of your HP is great.
-Apply buffs only when they matter. If a boss has an effect wipe, is it worth it to apply the buffs after the fight? There are also some bad PT members that will rush in and won't give you time to apply your buffs. This therefore raises the question above your head. I believe in the case of this, a Paladin should try to adapt and only apply the buffs that are important to the survival of your party.
My tips for other classes that may be reading this:
-Do not attack the mob or boss first. A mob or low HP boss may be okay but attacking the boss first means that Devotion will not work unless the Paladin has the most hate. You are ensuring the lowest survival rate by doing this, and also rendering the Paladin useless by any means.
-Wait during buff time. I understand that you want to get kills as fast as possible, but this time is really important. Imagine not having revival and then entering into a boss fight wondering how you just died. Well, now you know that it was your fault for not being patient. Paladins need the buffs that affect their HP or resistances as it could be important for hard hitting bosses. You also reap the benefits of whatever buffs may come to you and what you can offer to the PT. This should also be preparation time for the Paladin before going in. If the boss is placed to be close to the player then the Paladin should go in first at all times as bosses are actively aggressive.
Try making a Hate Rise -% Set. This aids the PT as your skills will not generate much hate at the cost of perhaps some damage, but it could be worth it as the Paladin needs the bar of hate to control the fight. When I fought Sauro 400, there would be times where it would be absolutely difficult to control the hate bar as it fluctuated from pink to brown a countless amount of times due to a speedhack zero ray and non-sh monk fighting for it. It is frustrating and could mean the difference between life and death of the PT. (It has been updated but still!)
A Paladin's Roles
In my opinion, they should mainly be tank as they have the resistance and skills necessary to do this that other classes do not. A healer/support is your best friend.
