as zura said it depends on type
u can go crt less if ur magic auto
but as a physical auto type ull definitely need crt
true as well on dragonewt type
and the new mins build is more similar to sk build int dex crt -- cause it seems atk/matk/and crt dmg is thrown in the mix for dragonewt --

Forgive me for my early statement on INT/DEX/CRT. I did a few test again. It seem that INT/DEX alone did similar damage INT/DEX/CRT. So right now extra point can be invested into something more beneficial according to personal preferences. o.o)/

hmm so its more like spellburst option? hopefully theres a calculation on the spells crit rate or if crt dmg boosts its dmg further when it crits
or is it just a low chance even with high crit?

Actually I'm not really good at magic class. So I'm not sure about spellburst? Does spellburst abilities affected by CRT? If yes the CRT stat is an option too. Even so I still don't see much differences when using Dragonewt (without affected by spellburst abilities/equip). And I still using basic equip that been provided for the class

if rod or throw -- can u try putting the rest of the extra stats on str -- wanna see if atk helps

It was only for HW. So CRT no longer have importance for new Dragonewt or even other song damage since I never see Dragonewt fail to Crit just like current Dragonewt that we use in English Server. im also wondering whats the weap/armor/add and the xtals given when u choose mins if rod or throw -- can u try putting the rest of the extra stats on str -- wanna see if atk helps In test server. Minstrel are given the following equipment Tellas Rod II Sauro IIx2 Bellow of Order Up Iniliba?? & another matk+18% xtal Taenia Beret Dunkelis IIx2 Spell king ring NS I did some test adding STR since using Rod but I guess it doesn't affect new Dragonewt damage either

I'm actually a bit lost here. Initially I planned on building a dex>crt>str minstrel but then the int news came in and the few latest replies in this forum confused me - so should I just stick to my initial build, or change it to some sort of HWish build?
I'm currently using a HW build because I took wizardry by accident years ago and planned on getting the stats reset book once I'm above level 240ish. I've even completed my HP set and DPS set for minstrel (with exception for a few xtals because I'm still saving up). now should I just keep my HW build once I'm about to change into minstrel or should I not?
And yeah, if not, it would be some sort of a waste XP my bow collection would just sit in the storage gathering dust... but then again the stats book costs real money, so maybe it'd be better if I keep my HW build?
also; has this int dps been implemented in the eng server?

They readjusted the skills to depend on atk, not matk. So the best would be an atk set. I personally would have preferred for them to remain matk skills. These adjustments were only implemented in the test server in iruna jp. So if they aren't yet implemented in the main japanese servers, we can't even talk about the english version.

One thing I think they could do but would be very unlikely would be to give the players a choice upon switching to minstrel if they want attacks to be magic or physical that way minstrels of all builds would have a chance rather than forcing people to reset if they want to be of more use

For some reason, I was kinda hyped for the new magic Minstrel change. I'm thinking a bit about it now but I don't think there would be any combat changes to Minstrel. Obviously. Since they're allowing what the players want by not changing the "meta" build. Magic Minstrel had some depth to it. By having @aizurin experiment all sorts of different builds for Minstrel. SDC Mins was a still possible build since there wasn't much of damage with Dragonewt. Although this is what I believe, I can't think of how of a way on being physical while casting songs. Agi Build seems to be the most likely build to be used. But the magic Minstrels could solo way better, it isn't really horrifying as I thought it was. But hey now noobs won't say Minstrel can't solo anymore. (Gooooooo Dnewt Mins ∙°Emi°∙ [lurking on forum] & 『Acedia』 This is my guess on possible new changes for the physical Minstrel (Oh my god I said physical, it wasn't magic class from the start honey.. just wanted to clarify that to everyone bc people still says Minstrels are magic class. But, not any more fools! Asobimo ate your words) improvement.. and looking at how Minstrels are now. Possible Changes- Sustain will be better. (It's really hard to keep sustain in my opinion. Minstrel need to stop relying on Heal Reward and Jade Ricus) - A possible buffing will change? (Hate Bar wise) - Song Duration increase(?) (As playing as a Minstrel for like 3 and a half years. 30 seconds is way too short. All I'm asking for a minute yo Asobimo) - (Obviously) Songs will benefit physical stats. - MATK & ATK(?) (Me changing to Throw build again? Hmm) - Dragonewt will get significantly buffed(?) (No nerf hopefully to the spam, because we Minstrels depend on Dnewt as a source of firepower, also party aoe will probably stay? Which means NightinGals will stick together!!) All I'm hoping for a possible variety of Minstrels on Iruna with builds. (We would like more people to join NightinGals to discuss this)

No nerf hopefully to the spam, because we Minstrels depend on Dnewt as a source of firepower You won't really be able to spam, because Dnewt now erases one song. So spamming at max dmg will require buffing the lost song between Dnewts, but I imagine all that singing would generate a lot of hate.

Since they're not going to apply the new "magic" changed dragonewt. It's clear that the nerf to Dragonewt won't be no more. Since they're going to re-change the whole Minstrel balance to physical.
