I would like to correct some old information. Firstly, Backstab has been adjusted. I don't know much about detail, but it has been confirmed that 5.5x Dmg from behind at Lv 2. Secondly, crt over than 256 will not increase double rate for BS, but it will still increase double rate for normal attack. Thirdly, 245dex that will reduce delay to one is not included class' dex nor Hawkeye(it doesn't affect anyway). Basically, sin will need 245 dex without gear. BTW, this is a good job. It is a lot of information. Thanks Mokie for Corection^^, To bad old info was not correct at all This info is like in dept info. They has been discussed, but never been put together. I think it is a good time for that to put them all in your thread. That will make it nice.

It is a lot of information. Ah. Guess that means that CRT is really just damage after all. It's a bit harder to tell the double BS rate with the assault buff now. I wasn't sure if the double rate was capped, like crt rate for normal atk was capped at 95%, which would take the 256 crt to reach. I remember that 33% is 256, but I guess my hopes are dashed. If the rate is the same, I wonder if leaving CRT at 256 and maxing STR instead would change anything. Probably not. That's just me wasting my billionth stelfy again. Thanks though, for clarification and all that. I can't say I divide averages every time I use my skills, but whatever I wasn't sure about, I did (tried to) confirm with some other sites.

Ravitox, you should also add information about assault buff on sicarius's stun. That information is quite important to add 0.0 I would if I could. This is where I falter and hesitantly say that I'm not that good.

And also, i wanna correct this info too:
Darkness Lv 1: 5 min/1.5x dmg to Light ele, 1.2x to all other ele besides Dark/88 MP
Actually, it was incorrect. Darkness buff doesn't increase damage to any element besides light mobs. I have been tested this a long time ago, then tested it again to many other mobs. If you buff yourself darkness, your physical damage againts light enemies increased by 1,5×. But, if you buff other players with darkness, their physical damage againts light enemies increased by 1,2×. Its a different matter of "buffing yourself" and "buffing others". Feel free to correct me if i wrong, this opinion is based on my experience and tests.

Hi, Believe it or not I am a new player. I am curently Lv15, someone gave me info about free level at Yarde Area. This guide somehow is not new player friendly. I mean, before I get to Assassin and BackStab skill, I need to be 140 Lv. So I will be entirely Hunter class before 140 and I possibly will be using Bow+Arrow Rain Skill.
1. Is Arrow Rain int based skill? 2. Bow user is Dex/Crt right? 3. Based on guide, I need to max INT first, DMG from Bow will be a lot lower? 4. So, as a new player, do I still NEED to max INT first or I have to distribute it according to my current class and weapon?
Honestly, the more I read these guides and vids from youtube, the more I am confused. Everybody starts from 1 and perhaps only few truly started as an Assassin. Mostly, started from different class and already have items or ItemShopper or Millions of spina before they got Assassin. Hope you could accommodate my questions.

Hope you could accommodate my questions. hmm i dont have an assassin yet but ill try to answer those questions ^^ 1. Is Arrow Rain int based skill? - if i remember correctly its based on dex not int ..and u need to have a bow equiiped to use the skill2. Bow user is Dex/Crt right? - been a long time since i last used my sniper but yeah bow user uses dex ..but not sure if crt affect arrow rains dmg if ur gonna try to live with bow+arrow rain till u get lvl140(full assassin) ...btw if u somehow got HIDE pet skill..then just dex is enough 3. Based on guide, I need to max INT first, DMG from Bow will be a lot lower? - depends since using a bow ..int will not affect ur dmg whatsoever ...since bow gets +dmg from dex and str ...however theres a magic bow that increases ur atk based on int (well every magic bow does xD) and lastly INT does decreases ur atk if u use a special bow instead of a regular one4. So, as a new player, do I still NEED to max INT first or I have to distribute it according to my current class and weapon? - again it depends, if u chose to use a magic bow u get +3.5 atk per 1 int&dex (+2/int +1.5/dex) but since ur going assassin its mandatory that u maxed int since assassins mostly revolves around throwing to get the most dmg -- p.s u can just go 2 int 1 dex or 2dex 1 int ratio if u dont want to max a stat while leaving the other one emptyits gonna be a very tough road ahead but may the winds always be in ur favor ^^

4. So, as a new player, do I still NEED to max INT first or I have to distribute it according to my current class and weapon? Personally when I first began playing, I went til 245 Dex as a bow user spamming ar as a hunter, THEN upped my int/crt 1:2 per level. By 140 I admit, my bs was lower than some friends around that level, the difference was that I could spam, making my dps overall higher. So no you don't NEED to max int, it's up to you

I'd like to add something more, since i can't find it anywhere at the assassin section in this forum. I believe 75% assassins already know about this. Venom Fist damage cap is now 100k. Idk when asobimo change this while venom fist cap was still 30k. Here is a proof: (My equips is still far from complete)

Every sin uses whatever they feel like they need more, whether it be better damage, a bit more survive-ability, or more spam until you can have all three xD I cannot be sure about the damage once Monty can be upped. I have about 100 more crt than you, and a bit less dex, so for me, Dai Upped does more damage in the end. The gains to using monty would be the skill delay and item recovery. Dai does more critical damage, but raises hate as well, so it might be better to switch to Dai in later levels when you don't die as often :3 I don't use barb, so I don't have any personal comparisons to make on that one. Hope this helps!

Mostly, started from different class and already have items or ItemShopper or Millions of spina before they got Assassin. Hope you could accommodate my questions. Hey there. Nice to see a new player! My main character that I started from level 1 with is my assassin, so I hope this gives you insight. Until 140, you can use whatever you'd like in terms of gear. As leveling for the first time can be hard without boost, and since you'll be struggling your way through many quests due to not being familiar with the terrain, or having memorized all the drops and monsters yet, I would suggest first finding out the fastest way to level for you. If you cater to a Arrow Rain build, you'll be more of a sniper than an assassin. You definitely should max INT first to be more of an assassin, because Backstab is a very MP heavy skill. A good full bar of mp gives you around 10 stabs or so when at 140. At level 140, you will literally only have backstab. You will not have deathblow, or venom fist, or shadow walk, or a high level of evasion or counter. Additionally, you will have a crappy level 1 backstab that does NOT ENOUGH damage at all. You'll have 30k damage at best with a hit, and that's with full buffs. You should not do DEX first, because you will find yourself lacking attack and magic, but having half decent accuracy on regular attacks. Backstab will not miss if you hit from behind, so the accuracy goes to waste. If you wish to do CRT first, you can, but be wary of needing MP as you reach 140. I actually started with AGI and CRT like a ninja, and then reset my stats at 140. (I was going to wait until 160 or 180 but I got impatient.) You can do this if you're willing to spend about $10 buying a stelfy book in the coin shop or manage to get one through the daily login or something. If you do choose to reset, I suggest waiting until 180. Basically, struggle through maxing INT first or go AGI until you can reset. You do not need millions of spina until you are an actual assassin, just a helpful group of friends or a decent community to give you pointers or help with the occasional quest. I made a guild at level 73 so I could leech off of the members, and guess what? It worked (don't tell them I said this) and my guild is great. With new player gear, I first suggest you do the damascan armor quest, get a seahorse bangle (special equipment), and a claw/nail type weapon or a bow with 160+ damage. You can save up for a good additional equip if you want, but it doesn't really matter at low levels. The armor I mentioned is through a quest, so there will not be any super hard farming or upgrading. It gives +500 hp, and alright defense. The seahorse bangle is +1500 hp as well. This along with your natural hp allows you to survive a lot better. If someone gives you a schwartz, it's not that useful (like, ever.) so I would sell it or not take it. I personally like a claw weapon, even if you attack slowly, because you just have double the damage. Arrow Rain doesn't do all that much unless you have nice Dex and/or Crt, and you will not have those until after 140, so I advise against it. Additionally, Revita Ls are good friends. Try not to buy potions, but farm the dark warriors for them. Save potion money, and always sell anything you can to buy an eventail for when you reach 140. I really hope this helps. Message Ravitox on kik or here if you have any questions on gear, secret tips that I keep from the general community, or need help on anything. I wish you good luck :3 Edit: I leech my alternate characters off of my assassin at yardes, but if you leeched your main character through the game on your first playthrough, I would be a little disappointed. (It's super duper hard but you can do it!) Edit #2: What I'm trying to say is; I left out everything before 140 because it is actually quite irrelevant to being an assassin. Honestly, sins are not sins until the job says you are a sin. You can find new player leveling guides on the forum and follow those while throwing your stats into INT and CRT, and that would probably be faster than trying to use AR.
