Every time i log in ~ all i see in the chat are "lfm mage" when i join the group, there's like 3 mages in the pt already.
So listen, i have a swordsmen, mage, archer, and brawler. People make it so hard for people like us to join parties to level up your other class. To be honest, just like I've said in a different thread already, mage pts are discriminating. If your not a mage. . . your not invited.
What happens when the need for tanks, breakers (brawlers) and archers are demanded? You guys start to ponder why everyone is such a low level or what happened... Mage parties happened.
Zodzka Ruins just came out and the demand for mage parties are completely rediculous. Lets be real. . . With That small leveling area, you only need about 2 mages. Then whatever else you can get. 3 to 4 mages can be a bit unnecessary. The leveling is about the same with two because your probably just hitting what others were going tk hit first. Despite the fact that each character spawns their own adds. This same situation applys to Bosses as well.
Idk. Im just saying. We need other classes. And the way things are going now, unless your in a guild or find "nice people". . . / we'll only have mages.
Think about it. Thanks

Most times its just people looking to either lvl/farm quickly. Your best bet is to just create your own party or find a guild with active and friendly players, personally I ignore those people looking for mages since all they do is stand around and wait till they lvl up.

There a lot of parties that let non mages in them actually. I've never had an issue finding a party on other characters.
In actuality Mages aren't head and shoulders above the rest in AOE like people think. A party of 4 of any classes will kill very quickly regardless. Brawlers in particular can kill skeletons very quickly. Some 2h sword people will kill very fast as well. 1h sword and Archer will kill slower though.
There are also parties that are actually anti mage haha, particularly amongst 2H sword users. This probably came about because 2h can actually kill gobs faster than mages but they still weren't let in mage parties. I myself have made parties with 0 mages lol.

This is why i usually lvl up at bosses for my tank and 2h , bosses gives better exp anyway (depending on how fast the pt , u can lvl up pretty fast at flare volg for example ) and u could even get a rare while lvling . made my first 100k here by selling the dyes . rare mobs hve quite good exp too if u prefer staying in 1 map.

I grew up as a Mage and recently found my way into a full-fledged Enchanter (and loving the hell out of it). I never really saw parties demanding nothing but mages, honestly coming up Ninjas were the class-on-demand in parties (before ameno, while Koda nins were running amok) from what I always saw. I generally leveled on my own, with some help from fellow guildies and friends here an there. I never stood around at mobs waiting for a party that would take me in. So I just did my own thing. Slow yeah, but I got here eventually.

So an occasional bad Cleric would say the party needs a Ninja to tank. I just laugh and say no, they proceed to add a Ninja, and I proceed to tank for said Ninja.

Put it this way, my upbringing was a lot of friends or associates constantly telling me stuff like "we need ninja lol". Probably just going off of that.

It's a safety thing I think.
There are alot of players that don't have an AoE for farming when they use Melee classes. I've had so many people come in and simply normal/combo attack single monsters during a farm. If I know a player has AoE and the skills to support it, then they'll be let in. It's just easier to let in Mages because you know they have wall. Even if it is faster, the hassle is a pain.
That and alot of people right now just leave parties when it's not fully mage. If there was more community awareness on the matter it wouldn't be a big deal. There is no awareness however. I'd have deleted my mage ages ago if the situation was better.

Ignore those people, and don't let it bother you. I've been in those parties, and they are no different than any other, if not more worse.
I personally hate running all over the map, trying to get away from the boss: and having his aoe hit my pt members while I'm scrambling for my life.
Give me a tank that holds aggro, and makes the boss flinch and prevents it from moving and casting its spells anyday.
Also, that person that only wants mages, doesn't know how to really exploit the game.

In boss farms I think most mages would leave if it was a party of all mages lol. Also on the other side of the holding aggro, Mages/Archers that attack the boss before the tank make life difficult haha. Of course Tanks who don't actually get in there quick are annoying as well.

Another stupid thing is, most "Mage Parties" will kick you if they see you not using a staff or magi device, even when you SPECIFICALLY said that you a magic wall user. >_>
I mean seriously? You're only farming squishy goblins, so it doesn't matter what weapon I bring as long as I have the skill, doesn't it?!?
