Hello hello. Here's some general tips for Toram
1) Here's a major one that people just mess up on. Balanced builds are bad in pretty much all Asobimo games. So... don't mix in match in all stats. You should be putting all your stat points into 1 stat, SOMETIMES 2(in the case you want to be a tank). Main reasoning is pretty much every weapon has a clearly superior damage stat:
1H Sword: DEX is superior, but it STR is almost as good. If you want to have the option to use 2H Swords well, go STR. If you love 1H Swords go DEX. Main difference is: DEX increases HIT, STR increases Attack speed. Both give 2 ATK per point.
2H Sword: STR is way better. Probably shouldn't even touch DEX.
Bow: DEX is way better than STR
BowGun: DEX is the only stat that gives ATK so... Do the math lol.
Magic: INT all the way at this point. While extra CSPD from DEX is nice, it isn't necessary at this point and there is some pretty good CSPD gear anyways. Magic Devices give ATK from AGI but you are gonna be mostly casting anyways so w/e
Knuckles: AGI all the way. Take note that Magic Devices also get 2 ATK from AGI like Knuckles do and can use Knuckle skills. You will do less damage with a Magic Device though anyways I believe.
Also unless you are planning to be a tank VIT is unnecessary. A small amount of VIT won't do much. You can get HP through skills and it's highly recommended you do so.
Skill Trees to get:
Survival: You want to level up Safe Rest to lvl 5 and get Survival to lvl 2 in order to unlock HP increase. This skill gives a little over 100 HP per level(this is a lot at lower levels lol). It's recommended to get this skill tree for just this skill. Everything else isn't as useful and can be skipped.
Guard: This lets you get Light Armor Mastery and Heavy Armor Mastery. Whats light and heavy armor you say? You can remodel any armor to light or heavy at the Blacksmith. Upgrade equipment>Remodel. It costs a ton though. This skill tree is lower priority to get because you need a lot of Spina to remodel gear lol.
Also you need level 5 of a previous skill to put points into the next skill in that tree(EX: level 5 magic arrows to unlock Mana Wall). So if it's a skill that isn't worth it to max but you want the next skill just get it to 5.
Settings to change to make life easier:
There's a thing called auto item in this game. If you look by your level you will see auto item, the item, and then a number. The number is what you have left. You can get to this just by tapping the item. You can adjust the HP that it will activate at. Use your own judgement on when you want that to happen.
Settings>Graphics>Show Other Users: This is this games version of Party only basically. It will always show the party no matter what you turn off. Turning off Others is what I would recommend for easier, less laggy grinding, just simply turn it back on when you need to.
Settings>System>Target Monster: If you are an Archer or Mage you want this on Far, so you target the farthest monster away from you you can see. Knuckles want it on Near to target the closest one. Sword users use Far for Sonic Blade(I think thats the right skill, the line AOE) to hit more enemies, near for everything else.
Settings>System>Auto Focus(it's on the bottom, scroll down): I find this being on just annoying as hell. Whenever you target a monster or Player your camera will face them until you stop targeting them. I like more freedom with the camera and it makes it easier to dodge stuff with this off.
You can also adjust chat settings, to filter stuff out, camera sensitivity, and you can switch the menu and chat buttons up at the top.
Spina:
Main place I've found that's good for Spina is Goblins in the Ruined Temple. Everyone can kill them super fast(yes even people who aren't a mage!) and they drop lots of stuff. People like to buy Small Article stacks.
EXP:
Same place as Spina. You turn in 30 Small Articles for 11400 EXP. Thats why they cost so much . Lefina gives the quest.
Minimap/Map/World Map:
On the Minimap the purple dots are exits to another map, the light blue dots are party members, and the red dots are enemies. Learn these, it makes life easier.
Menu>Map: You can also look at a slightly more detailed version of the map. It really doesn't tell you much else about the map from the minimap. You can however tap on the World Map button on this screen at the bottom left and see the world! If you are lost this is how you figure out where to go.
The chat window can be expanded to open up the log, just hold and drag it to the top of the screen. When you are looking at the log you can tap people's names and party invite them, and a couple other options. You can't trade using this method(which is kind of dumb to be honest), but if you party someone you can trade them from there. This also helps if someone is shouting they are looking for a party you can just tap them in the log and party invite them.
Also you get a free stat reset, which can be applied to all of your characters at once with "Reset Stats" or just the character you are on with "Reset Personal Stats". I believe these are gained from total playtime. You also get a Book of Oblivion that can reset all of your skills completely. I don't know if this one applies to all Characters or just the current one though. You use it by tapping the Reset button in the skill tree select screen.
You can Break parts of bosses with certain skills. The first skill in the Martial, Blade, and Shot skill trees can Break bosses. You don't just have to use the skill though, a circle that says "Tap" will pop up, do what it says and tap it. If you tap it enough then you will break that part, it will make a noise, say Break, and will go Red. You might not see it go Red every time because you might finish the Break at the end of the time window you are allowed.
If anyone thinks of anything else to add let me know
