VIT/DEX/INT seems to interest me the most given its survivability. But with full VIT, I will have at least 25k hp. How to recover the 10% hp per song? Using lots of hp pots?

Onigiri is one thing. helps you recover 10% of your hp Plus, some revita ale can also do the job!

Use joy and sorrow if your soloing. Your received heal gets a bonus if using life song, so even wizards can give u a decent heal.

Reviving month old thread instead of making new one. NOTE: 3-man PT setup w Bish and PLD
I'm (maybe was now...) thinking of building a Max VIT high HP tanking mins but encountering some problems... This build was Supposed to be for grind tanking, not boss tanking
Was disappointed to find out that the 10% per song HP cost is based on MAX HP, not base or even current. Even @ Vit1 my Mins has 30K HP with PLD HP gear (Wound xser HP20, Licht hp20, MiwiHat hp20, and wristlet ns), which means each song costs 3K HP every 10s or so. Even with DivBless there is no way to cover this cost without having to basically heal mins every other heal or so.
Trying to imagine doing this with a Full vit mins, we're possibly looking at close to 100K HP, which means each song will cost 10K HP. Even fully buffed, my DMG built Bish can only heal ~12K-15K HP. My PLD @ 130K regenerates ~2K HP per tick w Div Bless. Even assuming Mins gets something similar, that means he's still looking ~6K HP net per song.
To Tank he will Need to sing at least every 5 seconds possibly more frequently. I already know singing every 10 seconds is not enough; he barely holds aggro against my Bish much less my PLD so even without my PLD, he'll have issues when Bish can dish out 80-100K Nemesis, and higher. Which means he's loosing 6K HP every 5 seconds, which means someone has to heal him every other heal unless he pops Onigiri or better every other heal...
Am I missing something? I've already talked to our resident minstrel and she already advised me against this, but hoping to hear other thoughts as well. So far, it doesn't sound like a high vit/high HP grind tanker is viable for my setup

Mins is a good tank for bosses cuz he can keep hitting to raise hate, but for aoe... not at all lol And to recover ur hp... just use onigiri, is the fastest and cheaper way (even tho u have to farm for it)
