Well, if you're Vit/Int/Str built, shouldn't it be a higher damage anyway with rod? Since you gain +3 atk per Str with rod, thus adding to damage from Hard Hit (If Dps Pally).

I think I tried using weapons aside from sword before and got lower Hard Hit despite getting higher ATK, which led me to believe that hard hit grants bonus to sword. Anyway, a few tests should confirm this. But as for Guardian, yeah you would hit high damage.

Seeing as Ice Book had been mentioned before, and it has a higher hp%, wouldn't it be better to compare vs Wound or Trans with a hp xtal to match the base hp% of Ice Book? I can't quite remember the given % from I.B, but it should make the odds a little more even in terms of hp. Use the same equips and attempt at balancing the hp%'s given from Book, Wound and Katz (Would have said Heavy Broad Sword, but I'm not sure if many people use it.)

AFAIK, Ice book is max HP +12% while Wound Trans is max HP+15% so I don't get what you mean. Also, Guardian dmg is part HP and part ATK.

Uhh, what I was aiming to suggest was using hp xtals at an attempt to balance the hp%'s given from all weapons. I.e, if one weapon gives a base of +20%, another of +12%, place a hp+8% in the second weapon so they both give +20% hp. I'm not entirely sure if it is possible, however. But if so, I assume it would aid in getting the tests done to a certain degree of accuracy.
