I love enchanter. I steal hate from ninjas in a lot of parties with Magic Blade spam so have had to switch to vit build. I think we're better suited to solo than ninjas because we can revive with drain, can heal hp and mp and can deal good dps so fights don't take long. Stone skin is great for helping with tanking and the extra hp boost skill is great too. We don't need to worry about status effects because we have illness hit. The only difficult thing is stun, but i have enough hp to take hits whilst stunned now and drain helps me to recover from the hits.
We're also great party support with massive mp recovery (I can recover most players' mp completely in one go, only high levelled bishops occasionally have a little left to go), origin helps the party dps or defence, hp buff to hw etc helps the party survivability, can revive dead people when needed, and the auto skill and enchant weapon skills are always wanted by several jobs I party with, especially ninja. I can tank several bosses easily but I do need a bishop for some of the harder hitting ones. All this whilst dealing decent enough damage with magic blade. Of course nothing like the massive dps hitters like assassin or hw, but good enough. I do occasionally steal hate from pallys though.
I am making a ninja though, it sounds fun. I think it will take a lot of getting used to, completely different style of play. I don't like not being able to heal others though so will have to try and get the xtal.

Enchanter. IMO the most efficient class that I have played and the most versitile. I love to grind in ents you could go on forever without using any pots. Same with megas Could use any weapon preferably with autoskill, be it claw, sword, throwing, bow, cane. I could watch my favorite show while semi afk with a single drain. Has lots of build that can suit your playstyle. Guess that's about it.

I personally feel like enchanter is the best job in the game, and it is a mixture of all of the jobs. Got a stun skill (monk) Defense boost skill (cleric/warrior branches), spammable skills with high DPS (All jobs besides paladin IMO), skill for reducing damage taken by attacks (warrior branches/cleric branches), skills based on refinement lv (Samurai), party buffs (cleric branches/warrior branches/minstrel), elemental magic (HW), burning and freezing lateron (ninja, HW), and with magic scroll equip, we have clones like ninja. Just my two cents in all of this.

Minstrel would be my choice if the song selection was more wide. Some of my best experiences in MMO's was a minstrel type support job that could Litterally buff anything. Getting at least one new skill every level that could do anything from the mundane to the extremely useful.
If minstrel in this game was more varied I would instantly switch, as I love support at heart.

SNIPER!!!! Buffs, Spams, weapons, easy builds. Also very straight forward class. Low HP high spam dmg. I love being a sniper. Drawbacks suck but oh well.

I've only ever played as Vit samurai and ninja, but I am working on a monk, honestly I love them both but lean toward ninja due to the aspd, for those who don't know a samurai's aspd is automatically set to 80 and won't change. Ever. The Sammy was tanky and able to deal decent damage but with my gf playing sniper her buffs she pretty much covered my weaknesses.

Nobody talks alot about gladdy, people seem to forget that before ninja came around, gladdy was your damage dealer for melee types. Nickname i would give for gladdy is God Slayer since for penetrate up u needa beat the god of war plus the element spirits in the tower. And to fight them all u have to beat every god in ur path to reach oritius
